Rainy Night Creations has announced that it’s now officially a Wii U developer on Twitter. And yes, that means its N64-style 3D platformer FreezeME will be heading to Wii U, as the announcement video above makes clear.
In FreezeME, you play as a girl called R, who is in possession of a camera that can freeze objects that it takes pictures of. R’s mission is to rescue her friend M who has been kidnapped by Fat the Cat.
To complete her mission, R needs to travel across four worlds in order to restore an ancient key. As she does so, she learns new abilities that allow her to reach new areas, and they may also help out when taking on bosses.
FreezeME still hasn’t been Greenlit yet, so if you’d like to also see it on Steam, lend it your vote.

Nintendo has shared new details, video, and screenshots for Splatoon, its third-person action shooter starring Inkling characters that can instantly transform between human and squid. The game features four-on-four online team matches, as well as a full single-player mode.
Get the new information below.Turf WarSplatoon is due out for Wii U in May.
The game’s main online mode is Turf War, in which players with broadband Internet access can compete head-to-head in four-on-four teams to try to cover as much territory as possible in their team’s ink. As they do battle, players will gain levels and earn in-game currency that allows them to customize their Inkling. Players can equip different pieces of clothing, which each provide different game-play perks like swimming more quickly through ink or decreasing the time needed for them to refill their ink canister. Players can also equip pre-determined weapon sets consisting of main weapons like rapid-fire ink guns, long-range ink rifles and paint rollers, as well as sub-weapons like ink bombs or sprinklers. Players can also fill up their special gauge in battle to unleash powerful special weapons for a brief period of time. Players will battle in a variety of online multiplayer maps, including the newly announced Blackbelly Skatepark, Saltspray Rig and Walleye Warehouse.
Ranked Battle
For the first time, Nintendo also revealed a new multiplayer mode called Ranked Battle, which keeps track of each player’s online ranking. Splat Zones is one of the additional ways to play online in this mode. As opposed to Turf War, which will be available to all players as soon as they begin playing Splatoon, Splat Zones lets players try to control the territory of specific areas of the map with their ink blasts. As they play these ranked modes online, they will have the opportunity to increase their rating from “C-” to “A+,” which will be dynamically updated based on their performance. Players will need to achieve an in-game online Level of 10 by leveling up their Inkling in Turf War online matches before gaining access to these additional modes. As a result, once the game launches in May, Nintendo will track the global progress of players as they gain levels, and once a critical mass of players has achieved Level 10, this additional mode will be unlocked for players who meet the ranking criteria.
Single-Player
The single-player mode in Splatoon lets players use the game’s mechanics to explore the underground base of the game’s army of octopi antagonists, the Octarians, in original stages that test their ability to shoot, jump and splatter ink. Players can tackle a variety of levels with a variety of clever devices that can only be found in single-player mode. Each of the game’s single-player stages are designed to let players master tips and techniques that can be directly applied to the game’s multiplayer modes.

Dragon Quest? Or perhaps something Level-5-related?
The latest issue of Famitsu DS+Wii, Famitsu’s Nintendo specialist magazine, teases a big new title to be announced in next month’s issue. What is this Super Big Game Premonition?Games Talk brings up the possibility of the announcement being Dragon Quest-related. This is due to the latest V Jump Dragon Quest Network blog post, which teased: “In addition to V Jump’s Dragon Quest X article and Shonen Jump’s Dragon Quest X article, there is also… we’ll announce it in the near future. But at any rate, we’ve been really busy!”
In next month’s issue, we might be able to reveal ultra top secret information about a big title.
Next to Mario, who else can give 3DS and Wii U a boost?
Dropping even a single hint feels too scary, so I’ll refrain from doing that and just say to please look forward to the next issue!
Whether there is a connection between the Famitsu DS+Wii tease and the Dragon Quest tease is, of course, uncertain. Games Talk theorizes that it could well be the case, though, given the magazine’s complete silence in terms of hints. “If the game is that major that letting slip any hints really is so ‘scary,’ it would be plausible to see it turn out to have something to do with Dragon Quest,” the site speculates. “Knowing that, hypothetically, we could see a new Dragon Quest game coming for the 3DS or the Wii U.”
It’s also possible this announcement is connected to next month’s Level-5 Vision 2015 press conference.
Famitsu DS+Wii comes out around the 20th of every month. Expect the June issue, which contains this new title, to launch between April 19 to 21.
Thanks, Hachima Kikou.

Before you do, did you play the last MP? I'm just wondering, because they changed up the formula with that, with all characters moving at the same time in a car as opposed to each moving separately. That's been a pretty controversial change.
I'm really excited about it. It looks like a lot of fun, and like something my girlfriend and I can play together. I was hoping for an April release for it. Do they have any Wii U games coming in April?

In the random Wednesday deal department, NewEgg has some deals on the recently released Mario Party 10, including a deal that bundles a Mario amiibo with the title. This is one of the rare moments where we’re seeing a deal on an amiibo, though you do have to grab it through the bundle.
MSRP for Mario Party 10 clocks in at $49.99, while MSRP for a Mario amiibo is $12.99. When you grab it in the bundle, the list price is $59.99, effectively saving you $3. NewEgg’s deal has the bundle with the amiibo at $51.99, or $41.99 if you only want the game.
Shipping is free unless you live in CA, IN, NJ, or TN - in which case you’ll be subjected to sales tax. As usual, if you live in Alaska or Hawaii, you’re SOL.

Does it really matter if we have an explicit date for something when we know the month? We'll know when to expect it, so that's all I really need to know until said month.
