I'd wanna get behind him too.
Lets keep this thread on topic.
Dat arm! It better make the Six Million Dollar Man sound fx (lol)
I do kind of wonder what sound effects they'll use for the arm, if any.
I'd imagine very slight sound if any at all. You may be able to hear it during a quiet scene but in a loud action scene you won't hear it at all. Just a guess.
I could imagine a scene where he's let himself be captured, to infiltrate a base. While he's under armed guard in a facility waiting for Fury/CA to come question him, we hear that very soft mechanical whine when he shifts around slightly but we don't know where it's coming from (he's wearing a jacket).
The guards hear it and look around the room, WS smiles slightly as the closest guard exclaims "Sir, it's coming from hi..." and all hell breaks loose as WS takes them out. At the end of the scene he takes off the jacket and everyone (audience) goes "woah".
Well I think that'd be cool....
I wonder how important the Red Star is going to be...
Kind of a little late don't you think since the bionic arm has already been shown in the trailer.
Like I said, I think it'd be cool. And we all know it's Bucky too, so by your reckoning his identity shouldn't be initially hidden either.
Well comic fans know he's Bucky but the GA doesn't(though they can find out easily just by going to the wikipedia page). They didn't reveal that in the trailer. But they DID reveal the bionic arm already.
The point of it is, the guards/SHIELD agents, Captain America et al may not be aware of it so....
So many things we are aware of from trailers are 'revealed' in films because the characters didn't know.
Point is pointless though; the film's done, and I'm freaking excited to watch it
Maybe a small part of me is even more excited for this than TTDW (and I'm a Thor fanboy)!
Do the general audience even remember Bucky from the first film? The ones I know – doesn't.
He didn't leave enough of an impression. But if handled well, the Winter Soldier-Captain America connection and reveal can still have a great impact in this movie.
Well I thought the point of what you said was to have a wow!/oh s***! moment for the audience. Which is what I was saying wouldn't work now due to footage revealed already in the trailer. But if that's not what you meant then I guess I misunderstood you.
I think they'll remember him and I'm sure there'll be some flashbacks to aid them in doing so. I just hope it's flashbacks to new stuff we didn't see in the first film rather than simple recaps. I mean, if you're gonna do it anyway then give us something new.
Winter soldier is going to be such a cool cosplay choice soon
Winter soldier Looks like the comic book came to life. Definitely looks badass like he should. Hope the acting is there
I love the way the CGI touch-ups have been combined with the prosthetic, looks great.
Mysterious guys dressed all in black with masks and long hair tend to look badass in general.
Yeah his arm looks really good!
Oh, most females I know refer to him as Cap's hot best friend. While I don't think many know his character name, they'll recognize his face and should be glad to see him in this - maybe not with his face all covered up. t:
There are a few people I know who could not care less about Cap, but would definitely see this film if they know Bucky is in this. Is it wrong to intentionally spoil his identity to them?
I know practically nothing about the Winter Soldier. So I should be able to head on into the movie with a pretty open mind... Very much looking forward to this instalment of Cap's adventures.
I really loved the previous one too.
Like someone else said, flashbacks of stuff we haven't seen before with Bucky and Steve would be the best way to go – to strengthen the connection, build it up, and make it a fresh reminder. Brubaker did it wonderfully in the original story.
Hopefully Joss Whedon parachuted in to the TWS set and recommended gratuitous ass shots of Chris Evans the way he told Taylor to add a shirtless scene for Chris Hemsworth in TDW. Fans must be serviced.
Whedon did some script revisions for TDW and added that scene in .
I dont know if was responsible for any script revisions for TWS.
