The train scene looks TERRIBLE. That is some awful CGI.
Do you come into threads solely to complain about stuff? Because, for the most part, that's pretty much all I've ever seen you do.
I also had that thought. Could be.
And? Should I be wringing out my pants?
That was funny.
That's the impression i got. I think it's a cool angle to go in. Who wants a Wolverine that is virtually invincible every time anyway? It'll be interesting to see how he deals with things now that he's healing a lot slower.
You should at least try and clean them at some point.
They should've just kept his healing rate at a reasonable level(X1-X2) to begin with.
I'd gather that's when his healing powers begin to return. That look is like "I'm back!".
Color me underwhelmed.
I'll admit that parts of it look promising. I want to see the character's journey in this film, him potentially losing his healing factor is something I didn't see coming and I think the japanese setting could also add a lot. Overall it was alright but this is the least excited I've ever been about a Marvel superhero film after seeing the first trailer. I'm definitely going to be there on opening night though, don't get me wrong.
But that train scene didn't look good at all. I'm fine with over the top action sequences; heck I pretty much expect them from a comic book movie. But that is some of the worst CG I've seen in a long time. I'm not going to sit here and say I won't like the movie or that it will end up being garbage, but this is the first time in a long time I'm not drooling in anticipation from a superhero trailer.
curious. Logan's healing power is natural. The adamantium bonded to his skeleton is not. Indeed, his healing factor was supposedly the factor that allowed the molten metal to be bonded to his bones. if his healing factor is suppressed, will his body reject the metal implants? Hmm. How much hurt can he take with unbreakable bones but little or no healing power? we'll see.
Side note- I still want to see an all-WW2 Wolverine movie. We haven't seen that yet.
With his healing power suppressed you'd figure that metal would start hurting a lot(and I'm not even talking about extending the claws) and would kill him within a matter of days.
Of course not. I don't expect you to blindly shower praise just because other people have.
It would, however, be nice to hear some constructive criticism regarding this topic, instead of you just going into threads and being negative for the sake of it. Some tact would be nice, too.
I've put up with it for some time, but it's really starting to get on my nerves.
I actually liked the train scene. It looks intense! But his opponent in that scene doesn't look strong.
And I mean wouldn't he bleed to death from using his claws? They pierce his flesh, he doesn't have natural openings for them.
I've heard the only reason it hurts when Wolverine pops his claws is because his healing factor prevents him from creating permanent openings in his hands. So I assume he would survive such a situation.
I don't think he'd bleed to death unless the claws cut a major artery and I don't think there are any in the top of your hands. But he'd likely loose all feeling in his hands pretty quick and be pretty much unable to use them at all.
So far I'm in a "meh" state of mind...Still have high hopes for this film but the trailer didn't exactly seal the deal for me.
That trailer brought back repressed memories of the Elektra movie I so desperately tried to forget ....definitely not a good thing
So if his mutant power of healing is such a problem for him, why didn't he take the serum in X3?
He can't have lost the healing factor completely. His adamantium laced skeleton would kill him. And poppin the ol Claws would destroy his arms and fists and have him bleeding and screaming in pain.
Not to mention he wasn't this depressed when he thought Jean was dead the first time. He also criticized Cyclops for being mopey while in this film he becomes a suicidal mountain man.
I don't think it was a problem in the X-trilogy. It seems Logan is in a funk post-X3, and that's when he begins to question himself, his abilities, etc.
Yeah, that doesn't make much sense.
Are there DL Links for the int'l trailer?
