The Woman in the Window (Amy Adams)

I just don't like it in general.

They did a good job of not giving away the ending in the trailer at least. I liked the book but I'm still afraid this could go the Girl on the Train route and get really lifetime-y.

Are there elements of the ending in the trailer? Trailers sometimes tend to do that.

Not really. There's a shot that looks like it's probably from the ending but they aren't letting on to any of the big reveal.

I thought this was a remake of Kim Catrall's 80s movie "Mannequin" about a display woman in a shop window.

Have you guys been following the story of this book’s author? It’s bonkers! I wouldn’t be surprised if he becomes the inspiration for a movie in the future. Kinda curious if he will be involved in the movie promotion or if he will be ordered to hide and go away for a bit.

Yes! I found all this information AFTER I read his book. I'm not sure I would've picked it up had I known about all this before. Dude is a disaster.

He is crazy! The studio probably wish they knew that too before they adapted it. :funny:

It looks interesting. the Woman in the Window is a great actress!

Nine Inch Nails: 9 Things We Learned From Our Visit to Trent Reznor's Studio

5. There's a full, unreleased Reznor-Ross movie score out there
Speaking to his and Ross' work for TV and film, Reznor revealed that the duo completed "an avant-garde score" for the Joe Wright–directed movie The Woman in the Window, starring Amy Adams and due to hit theaters in May 2020. But the film "underwent a transformation after some testing audiences," according to Reznor, and so the two decided to "bow out." "There's no animosity on our end," he added. "It's frustrating when you did that much work and it's gone. And we were proud — and they were proud — of the movie that it was

I wonder what changes.

Oh wow, what happens to a movie that you lose a Reznor score?

I am laughing SO HARD right now. Fox/Disney could've put it on Hulu, but are selling it to Netflix instead? WOW. This thing must be a turkey and a half.

Totally forgot about this.

On the one hand I’m happy about this because this means we wont have to wait til 2021 to see this and Netflix’ll likely drop it like next month. But yeah, on the other hand, Netflix’s track record....ehh.

I enjoyed the book a lot, it’d be too bad if this sucked.

I'm surprised it isn't going directly to HBO Max. 20th Century still has a movie output deal good till 2022 that Disney is honoring, but apparently they just want to offload Woman in the Window entirely.

Not a good sign.

I mean its not like Netflix hasn't had any good movies on there service, so I don't think this is the final nail in the coffin as far as the movie's quality goes, but you never know. I never read the book, but the cast alone has me intrigued, so I will definitely give it a shot no matter when or where it comes out.

Any more news on this movie? There hasn't been an update for a while. kvz5 slacking? Hope not. :lmao:

It’s just... dead. :( The test screenings were bad IIRC so I’m not expecting much.
