Does his stats reflect his real life ability this season then?

I'd say that there will be more 'in-house' tinkering off the back of this season for FIFA 19, in that yes his pace and ball skills and ability going forward are as they are in real life, but his tackling back and general work for the team are not reflected as much, in that his game intelligence and tackling or defensive awareness are not as much as they are in his real game.

Ah right lol. I kind of like doing both. Playing as player manager on one save and then just manager on another so I can properly assess both areas.

For me, nothing can top Championship Manager for the 'managerial' experience so I would be comparing them if I just did Manager role plus nothing beats getting out on the pitch and when I have simmed, I get useless 1-1's or narrow losses against teams I know I'd cream so I'm never happy with the outcome.

Really, only when I sim. Playing as me as such, only ever lost 2-3 games, non finals or deciders.

Okay, a lot happened since last post, for one, into Season 3. A successful Season 2 (to successful, I think the CPU is getting hacked off, my injuries are full on !, lost first league game to Arsenal at home).

A lot of coming and goings, managed to rid myself of all the deadwood of the original squad in the way of 'squad only' players and make some cash.

Leno, GK who I got on a 'free' had a sell on clause in his contract for £63 million and Chelsea met that so he's gone to them, luckily I'd picked up Courtois on end of contract, so effectively swapped 'keepers, so made £63 million in profit on that one plus a better keeper, so not bad.

Injuries to Firmino and Vardy have meant me buying new striker in Giroud for £11.8 million, slow as f***, but good target man and holds ball up well.

Lovren sold to Barca for £23 million, bought new LB / RB and my central defence strengthening working out ok.

Most exciting players to join are

Mbappe (£81.5 million from PSG)

Midfield of Koke / Isco / Goretzka working well, Isco a real passer of quality and Koke is the rearguard/break up of play merchant.

Season 3 ended very successfully, highlights including a wiping out of Bayern Munich in the European Cup Final and a end of season, final day 10-0 win over Manchester City, who had sold Aguero to Barcelona in the January transfer window and it halted them somewhat.

Into Season 4 just and boy, my squad is on another level and the first team reads like a Word IX.

Sold off Henderson (£24 million to Spurs), Lallana (£14.6 million to Lazio) Mahrez (PSG for £37 million) creating funding to allow for.....drumroll please....

Lionel Messi, yes I finally have him signed for a FIFA game !!! £75 million. Taken the number 14 shirt, together with 'end of contract, free signings', Timo Werner & Thomas Lemar, we are the best team in Europe now.
