The All Powerful Parasite flew through the skies at blazing speeds. He had flown out of Earth's gravitational pull and into space. He was searching for Superman. Nothing else mattered. Parasite needed to prove to himself that he could defeat his most hated foe once and for all.

There!

The Parasite could feel Superman's power, his energy approaching earth. Parasite waited for the kryptonian to arrive.

Clark! Don't come here! Turn around! Run for your life!

"Shut. Up. Lois."

OOC: Just a thought here Rudy, but what if you zeroed in on Bizarro and got a charge from him? With your already overwhelmed psyche, that'd be a helluva arc. Would you start GIVING energy? I think about these things. heh.

OOC: That thought had actually occured to me, but Bizarro's on Pluto and Rudy has no way of knowing that, so there's nothing I can do unless I just pulled a coincidence out of my ass and said "Hey! I just happened to guess that you might be on Pluto, and look at THAT! Bizarro's with ya!"

Just wouldn't work.

Superman spotted Parasite somewhere between the Moon and Mars. His blood boiled at the sight of one of Lois's murderers. Parasite seemed to ripple with power, but no matter how much power Parasite had it would not save him from Superman's wrath. Kal-El screamed, the sound lost in the void, and rocketed towards the Parasite.

"Alright, Superjerk! Let's rumble!"

Clark! For the love of God! Run away!

As Superman reached Parasite, Rudy shot a blast of Metallo's kryptonite energy, striking Superman in the chest. In that brief moment of weakness, Parasite grabbed onto Superman and began to absorb the kryptonian's energy.

Clark! For the love of God! Run away!

As Superman reached Parasite, Rudy shot a blast of Metallo's kryptonite energy, striking Superman in the chest. In that brief moment of weakness, Parasite grabbed onto Superman and began to absorb the kryptonian's energy.

Superman began to feel his energy draining into Parasite. He whirled around, knocking one of Parasite's greedy hands away from his body, and grabbed the purple monsters shoulders. If he wants energy, Kal-El thought, I'll give him some! Superman let loose with two powerful heat rays, aimed directly at Parasite's eyes.

As the heat beams suddenly ate away at the Parasite eyes, in seconds, the heat burned the rest of Rudy's body to a crisp.

However, to Kal-el's surprise, the Parasite's molecules began to quickly absorb the heat vision and used that heat energy, combined with his previously absorbed energy to rebuild his charred body until he towarded over the kryptonian. The Parasite flew to Superman and roared his name as Lois screamed in Rudy's mind.

"SUPERMAN!"

 

[Phantasm]

OOC:Just out of curiosity where do you get those pictures from?

Using one of his massive hands, the Parasite grabbed onto Superman's head and started draining again.

"What's the matter, Happy meal? Feeling a little light-headed?"

With an insurmountable amount of force, the Parasite hurled Superman down towards Earth, through the burning atmosphere.

A slightly puzzled John arrives at the JL new watchtower base.

"I need to talk to a few people about this and I might as well start with him." he says to himself as he looks for Martian Manhunter to ask him a few questions about JL policy.

OOC: Okay, after reading up a bit I'm going to edit my first post....maybe I shouldn't post things at 4:30 in the morning after birthday parties. Yeesh!

*Looking out the window into the night's sky, J'onn thinks about all of the loss in his life. He thinks of Mars and reminds himself that Earth is his home now and he will protect it to his last breath.

He hears GL John Stuart enter and as J'onn continues to gaze into the sky he calls out to his friend.*

"What can I help you with John?"

OOC: To everyone but SuperFerret, I would humbly ask that nobody interfere with our battle royal.
I'm going for high drama between two long time enemies, and it would kind of be ruined if someone else were to pop in and lend a hand (for either side). Rest assured, everything should sort itself out in the end.

OOC: It's ok, I wasn't online for a little while, but now I'm back.

Superman fell towards the Earth at a speed that nearly matched his flight speed, only he couldn't control it. He felt the heat of the atmosphere as he burst through it, but he was barely strong enough to withstand it. His entrance through the ozone may have taken the remainder of his durability and he still had a long way to fall. Superman watched helplessly as the ground came up to meet him.

With incredible speed, the Parasite flew after Superman, absorbing the heat coming from the friction of the atmosphere.

"Hold on, dinner! I'll save ya!"

"I'm seriouly thinking about going down to the Sudan and try to put a stop to the genocide there. Much like I did in africa years ago before I left for space. " John answers the martian." he pauses a moment he continues.

"Since the guardians charged me with being earth's protector-even if it's from itself. I think knows the time to step in. Especially since none of earth's nations seem to be lifting a finger to so. But I want your thoughts good or bad about this action." he says with a worried look on his face.

"The last thing I want to do is to make things worse." he ends.

 

[Priest]

*J'onn turns to face the Lantern after he has asked his question.*

"You raise a good question John."

*The martian walks over to a chair and takes a seat.*

"The situation there is quite dire indeed, my friend. The world has turned its eyes away from the situation, and it would seem that the people are in need of a hero now more than ever. The question is this, are you prepared to deal with the political ramifications of your actions should they arise? If you are, then you have my blessing to proceed, just be sure that you are on the right side of this cause.
