The 'World of Heroes: DC Style" RPG Season II

I get to the new Watchtower.

"Alright, J'onn, what's going on?"

"Apparently you're a little behind" said Slade, barely supressing his distaste for J'onn
" I SAVED Hal's life not too long ago, and have been aiding the League ever since. You COULD say I've had an awakening of sorts, dying can do that to a person. I'm here to help, and I'm here to stay. John scanned me for innocence, my intentions are all good."

Slade seems bored, having recited this monologue one time too many.

"Here is your bio from my secret files:

Deathstroke the Terminator is the deadliest mercenary in the world. During his time with the U.S Army, Slade Wilson underwent experiments that heightened his strength, speed, stamina and mind several times above normal levels. After his career in the military, Slade became an assassin, taking out contracts and hunting targets throughout the world. Trusting no one save his faithful friend Wintergreen, Slade cut most ties with his family.

Slade originally came into conflict with the Titans when his first son, Grant, died before fulfilling an assassination contract on the teenaged superheroes. Through a warped sense of honor, Slade took it upon himself to complete his son's contract. Slade's other son, Joe, joined the Titans (as Jericho) in an attempt to stop his father from harming the young heroes. Jericho had somehow gained the power to possess other people, possibly as a result of the experiments done on his father. Slade watched his son serve on the Titans for years, eventually killing him after Jericho seemed to have gone mad. Slade's only surviving family member is his estranged daughter, Rose.

Deathstroke discovered the spirit of his son, Jericho, had survived and taken refuge deep inside his body. With the help of Wintergreen, Deathstroke attempted to exorcise his son from him, but was quickly overpowered. Jericho lives inside his father, controlling his every move...for now. Not long after that, he blinded his daughter Rose.

Soon after he began helping the League off and on.

Now, unlike Batman I'm all for second chances, but you've hit strike 3."

"We need to stop the Injustice Society from forming. Right now, they're seperate, but together they could rule the world. Oliver could helped us, but he's run off. The New Tower has Thangarian, Martian, Apokoliptian, and Kryptonian. This is probably better than the cave, but we need some ferries for our humans and maybe some more computers. Kara, you can start searching through the list of more active villains."

The Parasite wakes up from his nap. Riddler and Boomerang are minding their own business, checking out the base's features. Rudy gets up from the couch and retrieves a fresh battery pack and absorbes it.
He then tosses a smart portal device to both Riddler and Digger.

"Consider it another gift from our friend with the yellow power ring. these little babies will open up a portal for you to go to wherever you want, as long as you know the co-ordinates. They also serve as a comlink between us. Enjoy."

Rudy then sits back down on the couch and starts playing the built-in Xbox on the big screen TV.

"Thanks." Riddler replied half-heartedly, his attention taken by a book of crossword puzzles in his hands. A plie of used books with similar puzzles surrounded him on the floor. "Are you ready to set my plan in motion?"

*Supergirl sits down and begins looking through files for past and recent members of the IS.*

*Sigh.* 'This is going to take all night."

 

[Dwarf lord]

"Alright, what do you want me to do?"

"Get Alfred to send some Batboats for ferries. and You should probably help Supergirl or check on Slade. I know you let him in, but I can't bring myself to trust him."

 

[Spike_x1]

Rudy sighs at the thought of having to get up again, even if it was to go have fun.

"Let's rock and roll."

 

[SuperFerret]

"Can you change into that girl you drained earlier?", Nigma asked, standing, but not putting down or looking up from the puzzle he was doing.

 

[Spike_x1]

"No problem."

The Parasite shifts into the form of the lady he had drained before his nap.

 

[SuperFerret]

"Good."

Riddler turned and called into the room in which Boomerang sat in.
"Crocodile Dundee! Mom and Dad are going out! If anyone calls, we're in the shower!"

"After you, milady." He gestured towards the door, indicating for Parasite to exit before him.

 

[PFunk2]

On the radio trasmeter inside my cowl, I hear a news broadcast.

"For those who just turned in, the Daily Planet has been destroyed by the criminal Parasite. The imfamous rogue has dissapeared as of this moment and we advice all citizens of Metropolis to stay indoors--"

"What. Not him again." John says as he heard the anouncement.

"Superman," I call to him, "you should hear this."

Break-in at Flash Musem

There has been a reported break-in at the Flash Musem. A door leading into the Flash musem was found missing, only a pile of windswept dust in it's place. Security cameras caught no more than a blur.

"Remind you of someone?"

"Get Alfred to send some Batboats for ferries. and You should probably help Supergirl or check on Slade. I know you let him in, but I can't bring myself to trust him."

"Understood."

I call Alfred on my comm and I tell him to send the Batboats.

"I'll help Supergirl with the IS."

'And don't worry about Slade,' I add with my mind, 'I'm keeping a very good eye on him, and the second he THINKS about betraying us, I'll take him down myself.'

"I think I did my fair share tonight. I have to get back to my quarters."

Lex sits at the head of a long conference table he is reading through several stacks of reports. He shakes his head in disgust and yells, "What the Hell is this???? We are cutting corners left and right and bribing congressmen to look the other way. Well no more!"

His staff looks puzzled and shocked. Lex says, "Starting now everything is to the letter of the law! I don't care about costs-over run we will set the new standard for others to follow. We'll even make Bruce Wayne and Wayne Industries jealous of us."

The staff looks blankly at him and Lex yells, "WELL WHAT ARE WAITING FOR GET TO IT!" They all scurry out of the room.

Lex then calls his lawyer, "Hello A.J it's Lex...you remember how I hold the deed for the land that the orphange is built on...bring it to me...I will sign it over to them. Yes I am serious...they should have never been paying me rent to begin with...in fact refund their money to them...yes I am serious....I am not drunk! Get over here now or I will find another attorney." He slams down the phone.

Within hours news of Lex's deeds are being reported by hundereds of news-outlets.

"Okay team, for now you will live in The Tower. Bruce, you have a bat-family. Kara, you have Superman. And GL, you have 3599 other GL's to take over for you. I need you all to eat, sleep and breath your work. We will end this."

*MM sends out a telepathic message to all League Members.*

"Everybody report to the HQ"

"Mesage understood. We've heading back now." John replies back to MM. Then he gets up out of his seat and goes up front to meet Nighwing and company.

"You heard the man. Unless you have somewhere else we need to be." John says to Nightwing as she moves over to the co-pilots seat and heads the Javilins towards JL's HQ at full combat speed.

I call Alfred on my comm and I tell him to send the Batboats.

"I'll help Supergirl with the IS."

'And don't worry about Slade,' I add with my mind, 'I'm keeping a very good eye on him, and the second he THINKS about betraying us, I'll take him down myself.'

"Batman, Go to the Flash Museum and investigate before the cops get on the case. The second they get there, I want you out. And I think that Bruce Wayne should go skiing the the Swiss Alps for a while. I'm going after Hal. I know you don't trust him, but I need his opinion."

"Okay team, for now you will live in The Tower. Bruce, you have a bat-family. Kara, you have Superman. And GL, you have 3599 other GL's to take over for you. I need you all to eat, sleep and breath your work. We will end this."

"Right."

I sit down on one of the computers and start to work.

"The Brig," Said J'onn as he dirrected him to it. "You have no business being in the League.

"Hold on John." John says cutting J'onn off.

"Slade, here helped out more than a few times-including saving our buts when he didn't have to. And paying the cost for it." John continures. "Now I may not trust him completely but that alone should give him a chance to explain himself." John finishes turning back to Slade.

"Stick with it Slade." John says putting a conforting hand on his shoulder. "Remember you have alot of bad history with these folks. History that's hard to put down." he adds.
