I've wanted AJ Styles in WWE..again for years and so I'd mark,Yeah it's likely he'd get booked like crap after a while But he's been booked like crap for the most in TNA for years,At least with WWE he'd probably get much more fans/get to wrestle in big arenas he deserves too and I bet he'd get paid higher as a WWE low-mid carder than when main eventing in TNA.

Plus it'd be cool to have him in WWE produced merchandise including being in their games than always having to make/download a created version each year

I like AJ Styles' mixed persona as this one is going over well with the crowd than his dark persona.

They ended Brooke Hogan' storyline at the same time they begin Brooke Tessmacher's heel storyline. She's the first KO for the Aces and Eights.

So far, the Aces and Eights have lost 3 members and gain 2 new members.

AJ is an idiot if he sticks with TNA.

Now is the perfect time to jump into WWE. It's the best wrestling promotion there is by far. TNA is a sinking ship. In ROH, they drop each other on their heads and no one cares.

For all of AJ's work, he deserves wider recognition, he can ONLY get that in WWE. And he'll get paid well, even if he's on the mid-card for a while, he'll be paid better than he ever was in TNA.

He'll be able to have GREAT matches. WWE has put a focus back on wrestling and it shows.

I do not see what appeal staying in TNA could possibly have for AJ at this point.

UPDATE ON THE STATUS OF AJ STYLES, AND OTHERS, WITH TNA
by Dave Scherer @ 4:15 PM on 8/22/2013

As Mike reported earlier today on the site, AJ Styles' contract with TNA will be ending very soon. Unlike in the past with TNA however this is not a case of a contract expiring abruptly. Styles and TNA management have been in talks for a new deal for a while now. They have yet to agree on a new deal but discussions are ongoing. But there is a very real possibility that Styles will leave TNA and there is only one reason for that: Money.

John "Big" Gaburick has replaced Bruce Prichard as the man in charge of Talent Relations for TNA. People in TNA have described the company as going through a period of transition right now. Having worked in the past for WWE, Gaburick brings in knowledge as to how things work in a successful wrestling promotion and he is implementing them now. At the same time, TNA is working under a budget more now than they ever have in the past and when that is the case, hard choices have to be made. While everyone I spoke to in TNA told me that they want AJ to stay, it will come down to whether the deal makes sense to them financially. From AJ's perspective, he has over a decade of service and goodwill with the company. Like anyone in that position, he doesn't want to stay even or go backward financially. TNA management understands that but they also realize that they don't have unlimited finances and thus have to spend their money as judiciously as possible. They want AJ to stay but they also understand that if he can get a better deal for his family, he should take it and move on.

The company has set an objective recently to try and uncover young talent. Going foward, they will be looking for young workers to add to their roster. The sad reality of the situation is that after a decade in TNA, their audience has plateaued. It could be that AJ's experience and tenure have priced him out of TNA. If they can bring in four or five guys for the price of his contract, it is something that they have to consider.

There are at least two other wrestlers being affected by the new reality of TNA right now as well. They are Ken Anderson and the person that loses the fall of tonight's match on Impact. Anderson is in a similar situation to AJ in that the sides are still talking and it could go either way but will probably go down to the wire. The person that loses tonight's fall is said to be leaving in the next month or two.

It should also be noted that every single talent in TNA's contract is, or has been, evaluated by management. For those of you who know NFL football and the salary cap, think about it in those terms. There have been countless beloved superstar athletes that have been let go due to cold, hard finances. That is the exact position TNA is in right now.

Word is, they are giving the ball to Magnus as the face of the company.

Way to treat somebody who has bust his ass for you since day one. I'd like to see him in WWE as well.

Yep.

Via Reddit:

As many of you read online, TNA is having budget issues for talent. Because of this, many talents are being paid per appearance and some major stars are being asked to take pay cuts (in addition to being paid late).
Source: family friend working in HR for TNA, who previously confirmed Tito Ortiz for you guys.

[spoilers] below The following are currently under the scope.

-Devon at this moment is gone from the company, thus he will lose tonight's loser leaves TNA match. Most likely will not return to the company, unless he signs a pay per appearance.

-AJ Styles is being asked to take a huge pay cut, this is the reason he has still not resigned (contract expires Sept. 18th).

-Ken Anderson is asked to take a pay cut (contract expires October 12th)

-Jay Bradley, Kenny King, Manik, Sam Shaw are bei paid per appearance ($1500/per).

-Magnus resigned recently, twice his previous deal. He's being groomed as the face of the company.

Edit:::EDIT:: as for reference, TNA pays Hulk Hogan $8million/3year plus merchandise, and company ownership. (I called and confirmed, Hogan is paid 8mill for 3 years) guaranteed as long as they renew every year.

Edit::: SoCal Val was recently released. She was making $115,000/year

At a TNA post-show, Dixie Carter delivered a full-time contract to Manik.

8 million for 3 years with Hulk Hogan, eh? He gets ownership of TNA?

I wonder if Sting gets paid the same amount as Hogan.

Nice to hear that Magnus being pushed as the face of TNA. He has the tools to do it.

-Jay Bradley, Kenny King, Manik, Sam Shaw are bei paid per appearance ($1500/per).

What the hell do they do to earn that much per appearance!? ****, I'll appear for a third of that and just get my ass kicked every 2 weeks.

After two days of work, I proudly give to my fellow Ultimate Warrior fans this feature presentation.

Brutus Magnus as the top guy in TNA? Really?

He's come a long way since The British Invasion. I don't know what it is about him, but the guy was over with the crowd during the Vegas tapings. I was in shock.

I wonder if Sting gets paid the same amount as Hogan.

Last time I checked, he was making only half a million per year. Can't say I blame him for not wanting to leave TNA yet given his cushy deal.

Honestly, I'd LOVE to see AJ Styles in WWE, I could see him coming in and feuding for the IC or US titles right away. Imagine the matches with Ziggler, Rhodes, Sandow, Ambrose etc. And, as some have said him being in the video game would be a great addition.

PREPARE YOUR BODIES:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...th-goldberg-possible-role-at-wrestlemania-xxx

....in this week's (subscribers-only) Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer writes talks have started up between Goldberg and the company again and even notes that there have been talks of using the star at WrestleMania XXX next year:

WWE and Bill Goldberg are now in talks, which adds to the list of the people who in the past it seemed they would never do business with. Goldberg, even more than Ultimate Warrior, had been someone in the past they had wanted no involvement with, but the policy now seems to be to mend fences with any former superstar to the public who had past bitterness. There has been talk of him doing next year’s WrestleMania.

I'd like to think Cesaro is going to be rewarded for helping to put over Bryan and Young; this kind of thing I think goes a long way in the WWE, especially with Triple H calling the shots.

I think if he and Coulter try to edge themselves away from the Real American gimmick (it stretches credulity for this gimmick to include a Swiss-Italian man named Antonio Cesaro, no matter how they try to rationalize it) and stick to a more basic manager and wrestler role, it could go a long way.

Just have Swagger turn on them, that would help them shed the gimmick.

If SS is going to be as good next year as Sunday, I will definitely be there. I missed WM20, I can't miss SS 2014 (if at the Garden, while it's still there).

There's nothing like an event being held at MSG for atmosphere. What do you mean by "While it's still there?" :(

This would be great. The first time the Hell in a Cell was announced between Shawn Michaels and Undertaker I was like, "Oh ****!":wow:

Now it's just kinda meh because it happens at the same time every year. Sure some matches are good, but it needs that special feel to it. Ya know, that feel that these two guys are so pissed that they need to be locked in the HiaC to settle their differences and end the feud. Going back to that would do wonders.

Now if they can just bring back a proper King of the Ring I might actually buy the hell out of it.

Exactly! It was the evolution of the cage match as the ultimate blow-off for a big heated feud. Last year Punk vs Ryback was a HIAC match and there wasn't even a feud and it was the first match they'd ever had, that was hopefully the wake-up call.

2012 also showcased how HIAC is supposed to be used with the "End of an Era" match.

AJ staying in TNA is a bad idea, if you ask me. He doesn't have to go to the 'E, but he's got to get out of TNA. He's been running in circles for year, and the one time they did try to really change him up, they screw it up and throw it away. AJ's accomplished all he ever will in TNA and needs to move on. One reason TNA and AJ is stale, he's been doing the same **** for near a decade.

Perhaps a run in Japan or a return to ROH. He's lightyears better than he was when he was first in ROH, it would be as much different feel for him there, completely different landscape.

But, I won't lie, I want to see him in the 'E. I think he might be able to get something going there. I don't think WWE would crush him just because he was King **** in TNA, I think this would be one of the few times they embrace that. Because there is money to be had in AJ Styles and WWE wouldn't be stupid enough to miss that (for once).

I agree, he is a unique talent and I don't think WWE would squander that. This is pretty much the last chance saloon for him, if he re-signs for TNA then he'll never work a Mania or get to showcase his talent on the world stage that is WWE, which would be a shame.

One stumbling block though is what name will he use? I mean WWE already have an AJ.

Two of the most spectacular things I've seen in a wrestling match.

I'd go this route as well, I think WWE need to ditch the gimmick before it fully backfires as there are already "We the People!" chants and sing alongs happening.
