The Wrestling Thread Has An Incredibly Strongly Worded Letter In Its Appraisal File

No One Expects the Wrestling Thread to Go Over at Wrestlemania.

I think Punk's shirts were better than Orton's with the exception of the ugly yellow one.

I can't remember where he said it (maybe Cabana's podcast, I dunno), but there was a hilarious tidbit about that specific shirt. Since it came out when he was a heel, Punk said it was intentionally that obnoxious yellow color to fit his character, and he said it wasn't really supposed to be something that people were like "OH COOL."

And that's why Punk is the best, because he'll have merchandise made ugly ON PURPOSE, just to fit with his TV persona.

Triple H plans on burying the Wrestling Thread at Wrestlemania 30.

I think the Network logo is now all but confirmed to become the new company logo. Not only has it been plastered all over the Authority's new jet, but Big E posted a picture of a shirt for him that is going to be released soon, and the authenticity patch now has the Network logo on it.

The Wrestling Thread has the best selling merch.

The Wrestling Thread will watch its enemies drown.

The Wrestling Thread is crazy over right now.

The Wrestling Thread will beat the streak.

Triple H is not big enough to face the Wrestling Thread.

Intelligence, Intensity, Integrity and Wrestling Thread.

I've made my peace with that. At least the scratch logo is gone.

I agree. A change from the scratch logo which is synonymous with the Attitude Era is long overdue, especially when it seems they are trying to distance themselves further and further from that era.

Exactly. I love the scratch logo but it doesn't fit the company anymore.

Think they will redesign the new WWE Title Belt to match the new logo?

If the company logo does indeed change for good and the scratch logo is eliminated altogether, then I'd expect all the belts to re-designed/re-worked to include the new logo.

They did the same in the Attitude era. The Big Eagle, Oval IC, European and Tags all had the block logo initially, but were then updated to include the scratch logo.

And really, people were finished with the Brock/Triple H feud after the first match.

Yeah I remember the reasoning with Edge jobbing clean to HBK. It wasn't applied to everyone else. Bah.

I read someone saying Punk would've likely gotten the win back from Triple H at Extreme Rules if he lost at Mania. So what? Come on now, Mania's the biggest show of the year. The one that most people tune in to see. The wins on that show matter the most. It's at Mania where moments and memories are etched. Bryan's 2 out of 3 falls with Sheamus is not remembered; the 18 second victory at Mania by Sheamus is. Randy Orton winning the WWE title in some lame 6 man tag isn't remembered; the loss to Triple H at Wrestlemania is.

The whole "he'll get his win back at the next PPV" is just some nifty politicking to soften the blow of the Mania loss.

Exactly, there was no need to have a rematch other than Triple H's need to get his win back.

It was so stupid, Edge had to do a clean job because he was leaving Raw to go to SD, like that was the same as leaving a promotion to go to another. :whatever:

Agreed 100%, WWE promoting Mania as the showcase of the Immortals isn't just a tag line IMO, the moments that happen on that show stick, it's why fans have been so annoyed over recent Mania cards but just accepted uninspired booking on any of the other PPV's during a year.

After Punk ****ed off like he did, he shouldn't get the WM main event. Does he deserve a better match at WM? Of course, no one should have to lay down to the Nose of Noses. Ever. But going about it like that, if that is a demand, that's on the same level as Warrior "holding up" the SummerSlam main event for a better payday. We **** all over him for that story (although that's changed a bit in light of recent events), but giving Punk a main event match at the biggest stage of them all just so he sticks around through July is ********. There are others on the roster who take their lumps and piece of **** storylines that deserve the spot more, and they're the ones that should be fighting for the spot.

Yeah, Punk makes money, but that would be a ******** way to headline WM.

Of course, this is all theoretical because I don't know for sure if that would be a demand of his or not in order to return to the company. If it was, it would be a scumbag thing to do. Personally, I don't want him back any time soon. Let him stay away, and when he does come (and he will, they all do), he will get a great return. Right now, let's use this spot to elevate someone else and finally bring up some more talent from NXT.

And find out where the **** JTG is hiding!

I am not really seeing Punk returning at this point, but if he does it wont be to main event Mania, I think even he knows it should be bryan, EVERYONE but Haitch and Vince seem to know this.

My guess is if he return he'll work the shootiest angle ever with Triple H or have a rematch with Brock, then after Mania he'll put over one of the guys they are set to push and go home to Chicago and rest up for 6 months.

I also don't think they need to bring anymore up from NXT just yet, they have to solidify the pushes of Bray, Harper, Rollins, Ambrose, Reigns, Cesaro, Titus, Rusev and Big E before working out how to push more new guys.

I think the Network logo is now all but confirmed to become the new company logo. Not only has it been plastered all over the Authority's new jet, but Big E posted a picture of a shirt for him that is going to be released soon, and the authenticity patch now has the Network logo on it.

I wonder if there will be a new belt debuted after Mania with the fresh logo.

Here's a mock-up I came across a while back of the current WWE title with the New logo:

If Daniel Bryan Jobs, The Wrestling Thread Will Hijack The Rest of WrestleMania 30.

Darn, no "The Wrestling Thread has had offers from the Porn industry."

^^ That's probably what they'll do, just a reworking of the faceplate to accommodate the new logo, but essentially the same design overall.

That might very well pan out. I'd expect the Network logo to be introduced universally as the new logo just after the Network launches, or quite possibly after Mania. This may well be the reason as to why both belts are still being carried around, as a placeholder for the re-designed and/or new belt, which could possibly be introduced after the logo goes universal and/or after Mania. If a new title is being worked on, then I'd expect the words of 'World Heavyweight' to be worked into it's design too.

For what it's worth though, I haven't heard anything on the grapevine about a new/updated belt being in the works. :csad:

Hey, I won thread title for the first time ever! It'll change soon, but let me have my moment.

They may be trying to keep things under wraps until post Mania, you have to think they integrate the new logo into all the belts after the Network launches.

Triple H was recently interviewed by RX Muscle. Here are some of the highlights:

- He said he doesn't want his kids to be spoiled rich kids. He talks about how he brought his oldest daughter to one of the tapings and how Natalya rolled around the ring with her and taught her some stuff.

- He discussed his role in the company, and points out that Vince McMahon lets him do his own thing with developmental and NXT. He says that everybody can give input, but it's Vince show and Vince is going to make the final call as it's his show. Vince decides what he wants to do and what he wants to show.

- When HHH talked about bringing some talent up from NXT, Vince takes a look and then decides whether he wants to put the talent in the main roster, and when and how the right time to do it is.

- He talked about the Performance Center, and said that they want every kind of talent contrary to reports that they want certain [i.e. big] type of guys. They want small guys, technical guys, high flying guys, big powerful guys, and said that it's about having a variety of talent.

- He talked about going two straight days with 45 minutes of sleep. He talked about Vince's training habits, and said that Vince trains very early in the morning at 2am.

Here are my feelings, to me the WWE schedule is brutal and something HAS to change with it at some point. I realize they go all over the world and there is demand for these guys, but IMHO this schedule is insane. John Cena clearly can't take that much more of it.

I agree completely with this. Yes, the booking is terrible. However, beyond that, Punk is clearly physically and mentally burnt out and I am sure he's not the only one. The WWE schedule is hellacious. Crisscrossing the country, going overseas multiple times a year...one can only take so much. I'm sure the old-timers would say their schedules were worse, but things are different now. The bumps these guys take are on a different level from those back in the day. Yes, it's scripted, but these guys put severe wear and tear on their bodies, with no offseason. Wrestlers come off as superhuman, but they obviously are not. WWE needs to schedule time off for their performers. Certainly not everyone at the same time, but some type of brokered system needs to be developed.
