The Wrestling Thread has much larger nipples

Based on the negativity of the last two matches, I need to ask you guys a question:

- What would you consider "sports entertained" in wrestling? What I mean is that the wrestling in the match isn't great, but you like everything else about the match. What are examples that you guys have had where instead of saying "that was a good match" you said "I was sports entertained?"

Vince's early matches.

Mayweather vs Big Show is another good example. HBK vs Vince at Mania. Stuff like that. Here, I don't see the value in letting McAfee do his best Hulk Hogan and have a like 20 minute match where he fights out of 50 finishers. That's just bad. That match needed to be like 6 mins of Gunther toying with Pat, then Pat makes a comeback and maybe has a moment where you think he is gonna win, and then Gunther shuts it down and emphatically wins.

I was sports entertained by the Firefly Funhouse match between Cena and Bray Wyatt. Sami Zayn vs. Johnny Knoxville I was also sports entertained.

Most recently, I was sports entertained about the appearance of YouTuber IShowSpeed at the Rumble.

I always thought sports entertainer is the perfect description for American Ninja Warrior

Looking at SNME, the card will probably be 5 matches.

WWE Championship
Jey Uso vs Logan Paul

WWE Championship
Cena vs R-Truth

WWE Women’s Championship
Tiffany Stratton vs Nia Jax

Seth Rollins vs Sami Zayn

WWE Tag Team Championship
The Street Profits vs Fraxiom

Seen this before: WWE has a major signing, they trademark a name, the IWC speculates that the major signing gets that name. When Jade Cargill signed, the WWE trademarked "Jaida Parker" which led to the IWC speculating that was going to be Jade's WWE name. It obviously wasn't the case, as the name "Jaida Parker" went to a woman named Tianna Caffey. The WWE trademarked a bunch of names when Ricky Saints debuted, but it was for a bunch of WWE Evolve talent.

There are a few people on WWE LFG that do not trademarked names at this point, but if that's his WWE name, there has to be a reason he changed his name. Like I recall that there was a storyline reason that Mia Yim was renamed Michin.

I get why the Tongans in Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa were involved in the Bloodline, as Haku is considered a part of their family (the Rock calls Haku his uncle) and Jacob is an actual cousin to Solo, but what is Jeff Cobb's ties to the family? As much as I like Jeff Cobb, I think he should have debuted as a solo act and Solo should have brought in Hikuleo (who is as stiff as hell) or Lance Anoa'i.

Well this just hurt my whole feelings:

RIP to the homicidal, suicidal, genocidal, death-defying Maniac.

Did not see this coming at all. He was supposed to have a barbed wire match coming with someone soon.

RIP Sabu. Crazy that he just had his retirement match during Mania weekend and was also at an ECW convention last week.

Arguably the most influential Japanese women’s star of the past decade, Mayu Iwatani, departed joshi promotion STARDOM last month.
WWE have shown interest in Iwatani for years, dating back as far as 2017 when they signed her contemporary Kairi Sane.
Following her exit, Iwatani made her debut in Marigold – a rival joshi promotion with ties to WWE – and publicly expressed her desire to wrestle IYO SKY in the US, her generational rival from STARDOM.
With both WWE’s long-standing interest and Iwatani’s own ambitions now aligned, it feels increasingly likely we’ll see her in a WWE ring at some point in the future.

@DarthSkywalker

Maybe a special attraction match at Evolution 2?

Sabu and Rob Van Dam were one of my favorite tag teams of all time.
We didn't get ECW so my cousin on the East Coast taped them for me.
Somewhere in a box in my storage are all these tapes of ECW matches.

Strong start, Seth getting some great heat and Punk on point with his promo, then the brawl keeping Jey in the mix for after he's beaten Paul.

Glad the women's tag team match is getting the main event spot 👍

Well, looks pretty obvious they are getting ready to add a 3rd Man to Seth/Steiner… Still hoping they don’t water them down with someone like Theory or Reed… Drew, Finn or… the biggest swerve ever… Roman…

And Pat is here… 🙄

Personally I'd be all for Bronson Reed, he was on a roll when he broke his ankle, and he's a different type of monster to Bron. I don't Theory would work, and Drew is more of a loaner I'd say. I wouldn't rule out someone like Ludwig Kaiser.

I think Kaiser is VERY likely now. With the timing of his interview and the attack on Jey by Bron.
