The Wrestling Thread has much larger nipples

The main event was okay, Bron had some good moments in it, and then the aftermath served as a lead in to Raw’s 2 matches at SNME.

Ugh, Logan Paul. 🤮
I feel the same, but we are all going to have to deal with the fact that he's going to be around and potentially deal with the fact that he's going to be in the Money in the Bank match when he loses on Saturday.

He'll be around whether we like it or not.

AEW's Darby Allin has climbed the summit of Mount Everest, which is really cool.

Absolutely nothing for Karrion Kross last night. WWE absolutely failing to capitalize on the groundswell of support for Karrion Kross and the high merchandise sales is unforgivable. The height of bad creative.

Being a good soldier gets you nowhere.

Did you see his match with Tyler Bate on Main Event?

Yeah, and Jey was over for a long time before he got his current mega push, and we don't need any more subpar workers at the top.

Jey Uso has been featured in the top storylines on Raw and SmackDown since joining The Bloodline for several years ago. Logan Paul has looked clunky before too, and he's wrestling Jey Uso for the world title this weekend, so I don't get this mindset at all.

Kross' match with AJ Styles wasn't clunky either and that was on Raw. The guy is over. He's money. His merchandise is selling. The WWE Universe has spoken. They want to see more Karrion Kross. That's what the business is about.

In tag team matches, his real solo push took time, you want it now like a "are we there yet?" kid in the backseat, he's sold a few shirts, been over for about a month, there weren't any men's MITB qualifiers last night so where was he going to fit in? They aren't going to put him in the top angle with Punk, Seth, Sami and Bron. Logan Paul, like it or not, is a massive mainstream star, he's also an incredible athlete, I don't like him but it's obvious why they're using him as they are.

He's money? he's nearly 40 and has never drawn a dime, you're blowing things out of proportion like you've got stock in him or something, he's been over a very short while, but you can't wait to see if he's actually in MITB.

His age. Yeah, he's 39. And guess what? LA Knight is 42. Damian Priest is 42. Drew McIntyre is 39. CM Punk is 46. John Cena is 48. Cody Rhodes is 39. Penta is 40. Finn Balor is 43. Carlito is 46. Not seeing a problem there. Not drawing a dime even though he had one of the top selling shirts on WWE Shop this month. Merchandise is the whole reason WWE refused to turn John Cena and Roman Reigns heel for years.

Yes, I want it now. The dude finally got some momentum and got people talking about him after WrestleMania. This is a business where you need to capitalize on momentum when you get it. If you miss that window, you will never get that momentum back. Why should I not support and not want to see a wrestler I like get showcased more? Him not getting put in a top angle is a self-defeating prophecy. That's why things don't happen.

You keep saying your confused, yet you're deliberately making false equivelancies, those guys weren't 40 when they got over, I mean Punk has been in the top mix for 15 years, there's zero logical comparison. Selling a shirt isn't about drawing actual money in arenas, it's one shirt dude, and we aren't talking Austin 3:16 numbers, Vince wouldn't turn Roman because he's an insane old man who hated the fans in the end, they've drawn way more money with Roman as a heel.

It's a business as you keep saying, yet you think they should basically drop the main event plans to fit in a guy who's been over for a month? Really? Come on, that's not how it works, if he's in MITB that's plenty quick enough.

LA Knight definitely was! Damian Priest was in his 40s when he got his big singles push.

Who is saying anything about dropping plans? I'm saying that Kross should be figured in and should be getting storylines on TV instead of digital segments and being stuck in Main Event purgatory. Also, where is he in Money in the Bank? He's not in it.

Yes, Vince McMahon hated the fans because he refused to listen to them. And here we are again where Karrion Kross is over and fans are responding to him and buying his merchandise, and Uncle Paul isn't listening. That's something that was prevalent during the McMahon regime.

The only guy in Money in the Bank right now is Solo Sikoa. You want to talk about a clunky worker, look at all of Solo Sikoa's title matches against Cody Rhodes. Dude's not over and a clunky worker, yet he's in Money in the Bank right now. He and Cody's main events constantly stunk up the joint. Solo Sikoa beat John Cena clean in a big PLE match, and no one cared.

Literally and figuratively lol.

Good for him.
Some think that this will get him a title shot against Mox, as AEW will want to capitalize on the fact that he has climbed Mount Everest, giving AEW some good publicity.

Darby Allin should direct a documentary feature about his journey to Everest.

Also, best wishes and get well soon to Zoey Stark. Her knee injury looked scary.

Damian Priest worked a big match at Wrestlemania 37 when he was under 40, LA Knight is 42 now, so he might just make the cut, that's 1 legit example.

You would have to change plans coming out of Wrestlemania to figure him in, he's been over for a month dude, and the men's MITB has only had 1 qualifier so far so how do you know he's not in it?

You just keep ignoring that he's only been over for a month, that's all, it took 6 soul destroying years for Roman to turn heel, if Kross is in MITB then it's taken only 2 months for him to get an opportunity, that's quick enough.

I've never said anything positive about Solo being in MITB, in fact I've said before that if he wasn't part of the Anoa’i family he'd not be getting the amount of opportunities he's gotten, but that family is uber powerful within the WWE.

I still don’t get this recent upswing for Karrion Kross. He’s so boring to me and the last time I saw him in a ring at MSG, he literally got ZERO reaction.

Now that damn Austin Theory deserves the world.

Is it wrong that I laughed when Theory laughed at Waller's misery?

Kross is getting over because of that promo he cut on the Internet after WrestleMania, which felt real and authentic. They need to lean into that.

I can see Kross becoming a modern day DDP where he "clicks" late in his career by being closer to his real self, after stripping the gimmicks away (and like DDP, Kross also used to work as a bouncer in Las Vegas). DDP used to do every cocky heel gimmick under the sun to try and look cool (chewing gum, coming out with models, smoking cigars and wearing sunglasses, etc). He stripped all that away and focused his game on getting the Diamond Cutter over as a finisher and working all of his matches around that.

Kross comes out with his hot wife, has a big elaberate entrance, had a heel stable with AOP, etc, and it wasn't working for him. Strip a lot of that away and just be yourself.

I get that, but the thing that separates him from DDP is that Kross doesn’t have a Macho Man Randy Savage to help him. Yeah DDP got over once he leaned into his real persona, but that program with Savage and the nWo was the catalyst.

I don’t see the same for Kross.
