was wondering why cesaro had dropped the swing, that sucks, decisions like that by wwe smh

Maybe Cesaro will be one of Lesnar's first challengers for the title (and lose, of course). If he doesn't use the Swing for a long time, only to break it out in a conflict with Lesnar, that will get a crazy pop.

WWE doesn't want Cesaro to get pops until they decide to turn him face. But the question is, why aren't they consistent with this? Other heels are allowed to do things that get pops.

*cough*Wyatts*cough*

Also, when BNB comes back, he is going to get a huge pop the first time he gives someone "some bad news!"

They could put him back on TV in segments again. Just to keep in the fans' minds.

Catching up on Smackdown. Just saw the new GoldStar promo and I have to ask myself, did I get heatstroke at work today? What the glorious ****?

I think this sort of thinking reeks of old timers who just can't accept that the typical face/heel dynamic doesn't dictate reactions for a lot of people anymore. People cheer who they want to now.

I'm not at all saying get rid of heel and faces, but I don't grasp why they fret so much over heels getting cheered. If people are watching and attending, why the hell does it matter who they cheer for?

Or, you know, let him get over.

Yep. Bray and Harper do things that get pops all the time.
Harper can't help it if he's just pure ****ing awesome personified as a dirty brainwashed trucker.

As much as the 'E boasts about the Attitude Era, they seem to do their damnedest to try and ignore one of the best things about it.

They have to dictate every little bit of where the program goes. But wrestling is organic when it comes to the fans' reactions. Instead of trying to manipulate it, they should ride the wave and go with the flow of what the fans want to see. This is mainly because there is no competition and the 'E would rather lose a few fans than cater to them, thinking them the loud minority.

- It's said that WWE is learning from some of their mistakes with the WWE Network launch as they're doing beta testing with viewers for the international roll-out. They did not do beta testing for the first launch.

- WWE officials reportedly recently told Cesaro to quit doing his Cesaro Swing move because of how it was getting over with the fans.

Yeah that's the last thing we need, things getting over.

That's the root of the problem with WWE: a wrestler has to get over how the creative team wants, and when they want it. The company has been in a popularity tailspin for over a decade with that kind of thinking.

I usually like the Rock's fashion sense, but that '80s text vomit shirt he wore at SDCC is certainly an exception.

They're being overprotective of Reigns. They think Cesaro is more over with the fans or something.

Now that there's going to be a Guardians 2, will the WWE also not promote it in 2017?

Yep. Bray and Harper do things that get pops all the time.

ahh but both are wwe talents not indie darlings, we cant have some who wasnt found, created and developed by wwe getting over can we

Apparently AJ isn't the only one to meet a classic diva before she became one herself:

Day 4 of the G1 is another Show of the Year contender. What a tournament it's been!

Satoshi Kojima vs. Bad Luck Fale: ***. Good opener. Again, Fale isn't much of a worker, but Kojima worked hard and I liked the finsh. Good stuff.

Shelton Benjamin vs. Davey Boy Smith Jr.: **1/2. This was okay. Both guys tried, but the crowd was virtually dead for it. It's too heel foreigners so what can ya do?

Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Minoru Suzuki: ***. Suzuki played his usual great heel self. Very nice technical match.

Hirooki Goto vs. Toru Yano: 3/4*. Heh, it was fun while it lasted? It was being build as an easy win for Goto, but Yano winning added to the unpredictability of the tourney.

Tomoaki Honma vs. Tomohiro Ishii: ****1/2. This was AMAZING. This is one of my top 5 Matches of the Year so far. Honma played such a great under dog and Ishii was his usual beastly self. The finishing sequence is so dramatic that it has to be seen. AWESOME MATCH.

Togi Makabe vs. Lance Archer: ***. This was good. Finishing stretch was nice and Archer was a very good heel.

Yuji Nagata vs. Shinsuke Nakamura: ****. *****ebag Swagsuke FTW! Awesome match of young vs. old. More subdued in terms of stiffness, but great technical work nonetheless.

Tetsuya Naito vs. AJ Styles: ***3/4. These guys work very well together. Naito getting busted open hard way added to the drama and him getting the upset win over the IWGP Heavyweight Champ was nice.

Kazuchika Okada vs. Karl Anderson: ***1/2. These guys have had better matches, but that's largely because this didn't get enough time and was the semi-main.

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Katsuyori Shibata: ****1/4. Their real life/backstage beef with each other really added that extra dynamic to this match. A really awesome match that wasn't the usual Shibata stiff fest were he's borderline murdering dudes, but more of a slower, technical match which is up both of their alleys. Shibata getting the win was also great.

Overall: 9/10

P.S. NJPW, please actually convince you're gonna push Shibata!! It's like whenever you give him these big wins, you never follow up on it. I know he won't win the G1 (as much as I would love that), but I would like some suspension of disbelief.

How you doin' with you picks, Nolan? Day 4 was my worst, 5-5. 26-14 overall.

You could apply that to the entire gimmick. If you're going to take away the name then you might as well not use the old time-y circus performer/actor gimmick.

Not really. Vaudeville as a term is meaningless to the general audience, as either a positive or negative. But there are plenty of other cultural touchstones that rely on song and dance: they can be Broadway performers, a glee club, Michael Buble wannabes, drama-club queens, etc. They can be like the Dapper Dans from Disneyland, but just the term "Vaudevillian" is so outdated and contains too many syllables, they can come up with a better name for the big roster.
