So guys I was doing a little math on the time of a weekly Monday night Raw and despite it's 3 hour time slot, it's only 142 mins of actual content that's not commercials yet they still seem to have a hard time developing all the angles on their shows from top to bottom where they resort to nothing segments and nothing matches.

However when you look at the format of the shows, it's pretty much booked like a cheap way to make it to the next commercial breaks and nothing else I mean look at the main time consumers for every show

Authority promo = 30 mins

Cena promo = 30 mins

Lana promo = 15 mins

Heyman promo = 20 mins

That's an hour and 45 minutes of unnecessarily lengthy promos for only a handful of guys.

If you spliced it down like this

Authority promo = 10 mins

Cena promo = 10 mins

Heyman promo = 10 mins

Lana = 5 mins

Then you are freeing up room for 14 5 minute promos or skits for other guys and girls on the roster along with having room for 10 minute matches on the show. I'm sure there are many on the roster would who like more than 2 mins of face time and by splitting the promo times that could be accomplish giving many talents a chance to get over without taking away from the time for the commercials and stuff.

What are your guys thoughts on this?

Just seeing that run down gets me thinking about how it used to be when I was growing up. I watched an old smackdown from 2000 about a month ago and I was amazed at how many matches were done, how many superstars were given play, and how much the story progressed in those two hours. Heck a lot of shows back then opened with long promos too, but man were they awesome most of the time. Back then you had The Rock to make fun of how long it took for Triple H to talk, or Foley to attack him. Now you just really wished they'd shut up already.

I'm going to Wrestlemania! Anybody else?

I was gonna PM you if you wanted my Mania ticket as I kinda figured you might be going. I'm going to the ROH and WWN Live shows, but Mania can **** off.

I hate to be the guy who brings up the nostalgia of the Attitude or Ruthless Aggression Eras but I honestly do remember the talent being better utilized. I remember seeing the Godfather or the APA in backstage segments. I remember Los Guerreros vignettes. I am not saying that everythig was quality or so much better than the current product, but talent still had somethig to do. Even if we got stupid s*** like Mae Young loving up on Mark Henry or hilarious bits between Booker T and Goldust, people got to do something. In the last couple of years, we get too many talents lost in the shuffle and not amounting to anything except live show fodder.

I mean hell, look at Ziggler, Ryback, and Rowan. What the f*** are they doing? Wrestlemania is in a month and they were involved in a big Authority angle in the past two to three months. They got all that attention only to be lost in the shuffle.

I like how they highlighted Ziggler because they didn't want to point out "someone else". I wonder who the f*** that is.

I was just thinking Vince really is the ultimate pro wrestling character in real life, he has played face and heel perfectly for me personally. I was a WWF kid growing up and he made me love pro wrestling, and now he's made me hate it to the point that I actually just don't want to watch any pro wrestling period, it just feels so unclean and disgusting to bother with anything associated to the business.

I wish he was as nice of a person as he was the WWF commentator. He had great personality which made him feel genuine, at least to me, as he welcomed us to the PPVs from our living rooms. :(

Just like Punk, and possibly just like AJ. I guess it's safe to say that the WWE is where dreams come true and shatter at the same time.

In a perfect world, the WWE Shareholders would issue a vote of no confidence in Vince, and oust him as the main decision maker, and put Haitch in charge (with a system of checks and balances to ensure another Vince situation can't happen).

However, they are painfully ignorant of what goes on in the company (to the point of believing Vince when he says the Network and PPV buys are fine), so such a thing will never happen.

Sadly things are not going to change until the fans speak with their wallets. As badly as I wanted the WWE network to watch their ppv's for free, I'm not going to do so because they are making really bad and questionable decisions. Also treating their guys and gals like cattle.......I can't support that. My love for wrestling is real but if you keep drinking alcohol you can't wonder why you continue to get drunk. As much as we all hate what's going on, nothing will change unless we put our foot down.

I tried to get #GiveBrieAHamburger to trend, but with no real success.

I thought this was funny given everything going on with the crazy push WWE is giving Roman

I love these gifs.

I know it's been nearly two decades since he stopped commentating on a regular basis, but I miss Vince's commentary.

Just about everything Punk said in those couple of months has been eerily prophetic as you look at the utter **** stain WWE has become.

WWE is the equivalent of finding out that the hot chick across the room that's been giving you the eye has a penis.

Curiousity, leading to confidence, leading to shock, leading to confusion, leading back to curiousity? Yeah, I can see that.

Exactly, if you want to matter stop watching, if you watch just to complain it wont make any difference.

No, more like hope and enthusiasm for the possibilities completely crushed with a gruesome reality.

:funny: And like any good wrestling fan, we shrug and move on to the next woman standing beside her, who has an even bigger Adam's apple and is dressed like Stevie Nicks.

At this point I'd rather become a wrestling Monk. :cwink:
