Is the symposium uploaded somewhere else? I can't watch more than a few minutes of the twitchtv stream, it keeps screwing up.

And no problem. What got me thinking about it is what Heyman mentioned at the 2K14 WrestleMania symposium about Brock saying to him after re-signing, "We'll headline/main event another WrestleMania".How would you ideally book that? I'd say give Lesnar the clean win tonight, then have Punk go on to win WWE title between now and Rumble. Brock is a surprise Rumble entry and wins. Book Punk as the underdog champ looking for revenge. He beats Lesnar clean. Punk's WM Moment.
I'm starting to get a feeling there's a good chance we could be seeing Bryan vs. HHH at WM. With that, I'd probably say potentially the card could work out like this hypothetically:It would be a great story and a great main event (they could play up the wrestling vs. MMA story of it), but there's no way John Cena isn't in THE main event of Wrestlemania XXX.
If it's going to be CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE Title (a match that would steal the show), it'll go on third to last with John Cena vs. ________ as the "real" main event.
I think tonight HHH turns heel and starts this McMahon/HHH angle for Wrestlemania (although in my opinion people would rather boo Vince I can see them using HHH as the heel so Vince can grab Rock/Stone Cold/Batista/Part Timer as an avatar).

yeah Austin is fantastic, another one of my favs - lets face it those 3 are undoubtedly the biggest superstars of all time - but I'd say Rocky was the best out of the 3 in the ring anyway (98-02 Rocky that is)
I'm starting to wonder if there's a chance the ME for WMXXX could be a return match between Punk and Lesnar for the WWE title.
To each their own. Though I have to ask how can you criticize Michaels' overselling and be a fan of the Rock who was a true overseller himself back in the day.
Shawn's my favorite wrestler of all time. He's one of the best on the microphone and showed a lot of range. He could be funny, serious, and knew how to sell an angle. The man's one of the best with his facial expressions. He could wrestle any type of match be it fast-paced, slow-paced, a technical piece, or a brawl. And he was great at carrying and helping wrestlers step up their game in the ring. A lot of wrestlers had their best matches with him. His backstage politics didn't take away from what he could deliver.
The Rock oversold, but consistently and to make others look better, Michaels when he wanted to would go so far over the top, he'd fall over dramatically stand up walk around with a goofy face and fall over again, to try and make the opponent look bad if he had to lose.... was it against Hogan at Summerslam where he literally flopped around for a whole match? it was ridiculous and actually made wrestling look so stupid in the process, thats the sort of match people who dont like wrestling for being fake cite and think of
I do like Michaels (nowhere near as much as many), just thought that he made himself and the business look bad far too often
its quite funny as I always liked Triple H haha

WWE Title Match: Punk vs. Lesnar
Cena vs. Taker (maybe)
Bryan (w/ McMahon) vs. HHH (w/ Steph)
I'm in a quandry. I desperately want to see Summerslam tonight, but I don't have the money to order it, and none of my non-SHH friends are wrestling fans![]()
That sucks.I really REALLY think they'll have Sting
I think it might be
Cena Bryan
Punk Lesnar
Taker Sting
Rock HHH

Rock's overselling of the stunner was far worse than what HBK did with Hogan, as Chris Jericho said, Shawn made that match watchable and it was one of Hogan's better matches because he was such an old wreck Shawn at least made it funny, and he only did it because Hogan shafted him and lied to him about his intentions after they shook hands on a deal.
Like I say, you can even ask guys who hate Shawn on a personal level and they'll all say they looked better for working with him.
Stop getting my hopes up dammit!!![]()

I'd have Brock win tonight, Punk then go on to win the Rumble and Brock pick up the title around Rumble time, culminating in Punk vs. Lesnar at WMXXX in a return match, but with the WWE title on the line.

So instead of it being about John Cena and Daniel Bryan giving fans a classic and Bryan potentially having a career defining moment, it's gonna be a tool for the ego stroke angle for Mania.![]()

So if Bryan wins and Orton does not cash in tonight, will we see nothing but a bunch of posts in a row with Daniel Bryan "yes" gifs?

Disagree about the Rocks selling of the stunner (which was OTT) compared to Michaels in that match - but I just never connected to Shawn that much, dont dislike him just dont love him as much as most - he is undoubtedly great in the ring just whole package wise I prefer Rock and its probably because (like Nell) I watch WWE more for the entertainment aspect than the in ring action tbh

If Cena wins, then I'd agree. If Taker adds another to the streak though, then the second to last spot is good enough, imo.I could see that being in the card (and I'd buy it) but I think Cena/Taker goes on last.
I agree.I'm sorry to keep beating a dead horse but I think CM Punk should be in the main event of Wrestlemania XXX. I'm back watching WWE Raw every week only because of CM Punk's pipebomb two years ago.
I think we're on the precipice of a great era in the WWE. They've been having this influx of new talent that I think is exciting (The Shield, Wyatt Family, Big E, etc.) along with talent that I still think haven't hit their peak (Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, Daniel Bryan, etc.) But real change in the WWE is signaled by the main event of Wrestlemania and if it's just going to be Cena vs. Part Timer again, then things haven't changed as much as Punk promised.

HBK in the match with Hogan was the biggest overselling silliness ever, I don't disagree there, but Rock oversold the stunner over and over again, it looked so stupid when unlike Hogan who is a novelty act by 2005, Rock was taking the best finisher in wrestling and making it look silly.
The rest is fair enough, I connected to guys like Shawn, Foley, Savage and Punk because I felt I could invest in the genuine emotion that came out in their promos, they felt real and I could lose myself in an angle. I always found Rock cartoonish and hated his promos that were all full of awful jokes and lines designed for t-shirts, I never felt like an honest word ever came out of his mouth, so I never cared about anything he was involved in, it took Austin or Triple H to get me into a Rock angle.
As far as in the ring goes, he was a magnificent athlete and the best hot tag I've seen, but to me he usually needed a top worker in with him to prevent the match just being a run through of spots.
So if Bryan wins and Orton does not cash in tonight, will we see nothing but a bunch of posts in a row with Daniel Bryan "yes" gifs?
God, so cynical.
The article pretty much states that the match is getting this treatment because of how over it is. Triple H put over Daniel Bryan in a huge way on Smackdown, and will likely do so again tonight.
The dude you're talking about is a bitter writer who got canned, guys who actually got in the ring with HBK night after night including Kurt Angle, the guy who's name was used by the ex writer, say you never look better than when wrestling him. There was an article in this very thread just a few pages back outlining just the opposite - that Shawn Michaels only worked great when he wanted to, and if he didn't want to, he did his passive aggressive oversell routine that made everyone involved look bad.
He did the right thing in Montreal and what is this passive aggressive rubbish? Shawn made it pretty obvious he wanted to make Hogan look a fool, there was nothing subtle about it, no one else has ever had that problem with. Shawn has one dead push to his body count, Triple H needs two hands for his.But between his own hardcore politicking, his role in the Montreal Screwjob, and his passive aggressive overselling, the hate that guys like Triple H get around here comes off as real hypocritical.
