Something just hit me and I'm surprised that nobody here mentioned it yet. Kurt Russel as Cable.
I disagree. I mean, if there's a sequel, I'd be up for Boom Boom joining the team along with Rictor, Fantomex, Angel and X-23. I'd also include Wolverine but he's overexposed as it is. Other characters need time to shine. Ashley Benson certainly looks the part and she was damn good in Spring Breakers.
So being a fan of the show Revenge I have to suggest two of the shows actors for roles:
Stephanie Jacobsen for Psylocke (her British accent is crazy good)
and if they ever re-cast Wolverine...
OMFG I forgot about her. She was in BSG and Terminator SCC. Her voice is so sexy and she's badass. She would be perfect. Peerfect.
I just saw that girl in Revenge.
Who or what did she play on Terminator SCC?
I don't remember her.
^ Derek Reese's girlfriend and resistance fighter from the future.
Hey, so what about Jena Malone as Domino? Sucker Punch and Hunger Games are proof that she's good with action roles.
I was just thinking the same. I think she would be a great choice.
Selene = Lena Headey
Arnold for Cable?
People, do I have to remind you of this...
If you really analyze Arnold's success in movies you'll find that his good action movies are the ones where he didn't have to talk that much.
- Conan the Barbarian - great flick - he barely talked.
- The Terminator - great flick - he didn't talk.
- Predator - great flick - he didn't talk that much.
- Running Man - great flick - he barely talked.
And then he started talking in his movies and things went bad. For example:
- Conan the Destroyer
- Red Sonya
- Red Heat
- Batman and Robin - one of the worst hero movies
So sorry, I would hate to see Arnold. He can't do an American accent and he's really not that good in speaking roles, unless they are comedic.
There are much better choices!
NO for recasting Wolverine, Jackman is at ideal age to play him. Those proposed actors are just to young, but wait a moment why we're talking about Wolverine in X-Force thread, don't you have enough of him at big screen?
Hey, so with Domino, the conversation here usually leans towards Jena Malone, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Olivia Wilde and Rooney Mara. Does Miles Teller's casting in Fantastic Four make anyone feel that Fox will choose somebody else just to spite us because they know that fanboys will hate it?
And what if Russell Crowe played Cable?
If he lost fat, but still too short.
He's 5'11, same with Kurt Russell
Stephen Lang is an inch shorter. Michael Biehn is an inch taller.
What's the minimum height that you'd need for Cable? I'm guessing around 6'5 at the shortest if you want to be accurate to the comics but I'd much rather focus on talent than on just who's over 6'5.
Her accent is Australian, where she was raised.
^Whatever it is its sexy and it will work. I just saw her again on Revenge and she is a must for Psylocke.
The minimum? 6'2.
I already said it, made manip, bring on Gerard Butler.
Cable is main character in this movie. There can't be stool under actor's feet in all scenes. Reynolds is 6'2, I'm not interested in Cable shorter than Deadpool.
Okay, but Wolverine towers over Cyclops. I'm pretty sure it isn't a big deal to most fans.
What about Liam McIntyre as Shatterstar?
In movie we don't see Wolverine towering over Cyclops. Cyclops isn't main character, so in his scenes they used stool for Marsden. Cable will have more screen time in X-Force than Cyclops in X-Men.
At first, do we need Shatterstar? When already Deadpool and Psylocke uses swords. No, thx, this would be boring.
British and Australian are completely different and it won't "work" if she's supposed to be British. Ask any Brit around and they'd likely be insulted if you think that they're the same.
You act as though the producers of this series really gives a flying **** about any of the characters "actual" origins, history has shown they don't (with few exceptions). And even if they decided to care she is an actress and thus can hopefully learn a "British" accent.
I was watching Oblivion last night and, I assume someone has thrown this out there, what about Olga Kurylenko for Psylocke?
Absolutely gorgeous, and I could see her in this costume:
