Thats just because you don't understand the video game industry is a business and they want to make money. Its an issue a lot of gamers have, they look at the industry as something unique, when its not. Its a business. The bottom line is the bottom line.

Look at it this way. If they dont make money, then they cant continue to sell you their products, which ultimately isnt good for consumers who want said products. If companies lose money, then one of the first things they are going to do is pass the cost onto consumers to make up for it, and that necessarily for the betterment of everyone either. Its a give and take. You want full honesty, even if its at the detriment of the company? Then be prepared to pay for it

they weren't going to lose any ****ing money. they had a huge install base already and the 360 wasn't going anywhere. microsoft is spending billions left and right all the ****ing time and simultaneously laying off their own. i don't give a ****.

If you confirm a new model of a product a year in advance, you better beleive you are going to lose money. Look how many people on here are saying they arent getting an X1 till the first redesign? For all we know that wont happen till like 2017. Those same people may be swayed if the wait is long. However if MS came out today and said its coming in 2015, then many will not buy the X1 till that happens. Think back to the early days of last gen, with all the hardware issues MS was having with the RROD. What do you think would have happened to 360 sales if they said that a slimmer model which would likely reduce/eliminate the RROD is coming a year from now? It doesnt take rocket science to figure it out.

Companies dont need to divulge every bit of info before they are ready. Sometimes it takes a bit of common sense on the part of the consumer. Its like people getting upset at Apple for not commenting or confirming the existence of the larger iPhone 6 (or any of their new product models). I mean you know its coming, so why do they need to us about it before they are ready to sell it?

i don't give a **** dude. you can gimme all the pointers you need to defend them but you ain't changing my mind. they could've said nothing at all about it instead of lying about it. and this doesn't just go for the redesigned slim it goes for anyone, anything, lying about anything.

Your mind doesn't need to be changed, you just need to look at things from a different perspective. That's where you fail and why you get so upset. You either don't have the ability, or just don't want to look at something from an alternate view. It's not rocket science bro, take one economics/business course and you'll figure it out.

I'm an economics major (not because I like it). I understand it, but I don't like it.

Lemme give you another example (of why it bothers me and it also how it doesn't help ****ing anyone). Kaz hirai replied on twitter that the light bar does not take up a lot of battery. But our own tom Marvolo riddle in the ps4 thread found out on his own that he lied. What benefit does hirai get from lying to us? What extra profit will he make? Because obviously either way, people will be buying Ps4s

cuz I was thinking, worst case, I buy the CoD bundle for the 1TB hdd, then I slap a decal/skin on it to cover most of that ugly design..........lol.

the skins/decals are safe to use, right? they won't cause the console to overheat or anything?

and are they permanent? or can you easily remove them later without damaging the console?
