Can they just make all the pc games able to be played with a dualshock controller and have all the same titles. I already have all the other features, all i really need is the titles to be available on desktop pc's and better controller compatibility.

I wouldn't be surprised if EA's games now require an always on connection. You don't require a season pass anymore. It's part of the game now.

Unless they are going exclusively Xbox, I don't think that will be the case simply because PS4 is not always on-line.

This is a cheap move by Microsoft to charge people that. You know what they could have easily used as DRM? The f**king discs! That's why you have them. They could have required that other systems have the disc in order to play that game. That could have been an option, but Microsoft decided that they want to screw over the consumer.

Nothing about this impressed me. Nothing. The games didn't pique my interest, and the used game fee and Kinect thing bug me quite a bit. If I do get a new console to go with my Wii U, it'll probably be the PS4. Also, I read it's not backwards compatible. That's absurd. Backwards compatibility can keep life in a new console until great new games arrive. Pass.

lol I don't even know how to answer that for ya . Just wait til E3. oh man . I'm in the undecided camp right now.But I'm happy i have my gaming pc too in the mean time. and I still another console too.

that kind of defeats the purpose of blocking used game sales which is what this is about

I heard something about a third system curse with great console makers having a rough patch when it comes to releasing their third console and losing their dominance. Sega with the Saturn, Nintendo with the N64 and Sony with the PS4. Its possible MS may fall into a similar pattern with the X1. I thought the stuff at the show was all good but the stuff revealed since has been very disappointing and can sway people away from it

I have a 360. Multimedia stuff doesn't interest me mostly because its completely unavailable here. Paying for Live is annoying (although i have to say , its cheap).

Still undecided. Hate sony's gamepads , but if microsoft priorities are this multimedia/kinect stuff...i'm out.

I can only think of one game that'll force me to buy the next gen of consoles. If a new Red Dead gets announced, I'll buy one of 'em. That's a game I could get for either big console though, so we'll see.

The **** is the point of even owning the disc? Sounds like we might as well use the thing as a cub holder once it's installed. I mean, what happens with returning the game if it's busted, or for some how they "don't like it" as it was with Mass Effect 3 or Bioshock Infinite?

They might as well have just gone all digital. That's basically what they're doing.

the console itself i think is quite ugly.the previous xbox looked loads better...
same with the games,i think i prefer ps4's line up so far..
cod ghosts looked ok too...dunno if it looked as good as battlefields new engine tho..
plus the last of us on ps3 looks as good as this stuff too i reckon..are we ending the current gen too soon??

If this can be done from the cloud then I'm sure Sony can also take advantage of it but it would be great for consoles in terms of keeping up with pcs in a few years time.

You cant return a game if its busted. What retailer allows you to return a game once its open? Almost every single one I know only allows exchange for the identical product when it comes to media.

Whats the point of owning a disc? The HDD is large but eventually it will reach a point where it fills up. You will need the disc to reinstall the game if you delete it to make room for new content. If you get a new system or want to use the game on a new system, you will need the disc to install it elsewhere

Yeah, pretty much. That might have gone down better as it's clearer and easier to understand (although probably a generation too soon).

To be fair all they said on games is that they will have 15 exclusives in the 1st year. They could all be crap for all we know but we really haven't seen them show their hand on games yet. I mean they didn't even talk about Halo 5 so this conference is really about hardware & multimedia.
