With their onscreen current training, who would win? Easy money is on Thea. Does this make Laurel even less convincing in her role? I just can't get into her character. There isn't anything invested in her to make it that believable so fast. Thea would kick her ass in a heartbeat.

Judging by what we've seen so far, definitely Thea. She's learning from the best and we've already seen how much ass she can kick when working with Malcolm.

That's not to say that Laurel isn't any good (she is), she just needs a lot more practice.

I find Thea's fight scenes unconvincing... I have not decided on how good (or bad) laurel is ...yet.

Thea. It doesn't make Laurel any-less convincing.

I think Laurel is pretty convincing as someone who regularly gets her butt handed to her. I don't see what getting beat up by Thea would make her more or less convincing. You could have a really cool conversation here if you can resist bashing one of the characters.

But yeah, Thea, as shown, would wipe the floor with her. Now, it's not Willa Holland, of course. You can actually see the stunt woman's face in last nights episode. But Thea as a character would demolish Laurel. She's been training for longer with a better teacher.

Of course... Laurel does have better equipment, a good Canary Cry could change things dramatically.

I think Thea is better with weapons, but Laurel is better in hand to hand. Their styles are too different though. Laurel really comes off as a brawler who will get her hands dirty if need be because she's sloppy.

Thea would win in a fight because she's already spent months training both her mind and body with the guy that wiped the floor with Oliver twice. Laurel only has a few weeks of boxing lessons and some self defense classes under her belt. If they were both given th same level of training then I would put my money on Laurel.

Right now, I'd say Thea, she is way more agile and it looks like she has some martial arts skills, while Laurel is mainly using brute force to defeat her opponents.

Thea easily. Thea has been trained by someone who was in the League of Assassins. Laurel's fight with her would be like her fight with Sara in he hallucination where she was getting her ass kicked (which was really Vertigo).

Thea just knows different kinds of moves taught to her by Merlyn, plus she is also a champion archer so would take down Laurel before she could even engage her.

After this last episode, they should make Thea the canary haha. She looks better as an onscreen martial artist than Laurel. Love watching Laurel get her ass kicked though. Not a fan of her character at all. Would be cool to see Thea as Oliver's sidekick.

I 100% agree with you.

Laurel's fighting looks pretty pathetic at the moment, especially when she was fighting Merlyn. It would've been cool to see Laurel fight Thea. Maybe she could be under the influence of Vertigo again, and her true feelings about Thea killing Sara could come out where there is at least some underlying resentment because Thea is still the one who shot her sister.

It would be better to have that after Nyssa trains her. I am sure that by this time next season Laurel will be much better than Thea due to Nyssa's work. Then there would a serious risk of Thea dying if Laurel was under Vertigo again.

Thea. Easily, too, I think. She even impressed Oliver in their light sparring on Lian Yu.

The weird thing is...I think Thea might have the training, but not the heart for it. While Laurel doesn't have the training, but has the heart.

I mean, Laurel is impressing me this season. She's constantly getting knocked down, getting kicked down, getting talked down to, being doubted, being criticized, and being outmatched (ie: Brick, Count Vertigo, Malcolm...) and she keeps getting up. She keeps picking herself up, and running head first into it again. So, she's got heart. Lots of it, too.

Thea at this point. You guys do see where there going with the whole Thea and Laurel dynamic right. Here what's going to happen Thea will take Laurel and begin training her. I think reason she will do this is because she was one who killed Sara and like Roy teaching Laurel how to fight will help with the guilt she feels.

I believe this will start to happen in series finally. I think Thea and Laurel will take off for training. That is my theory any way.
