It is uncanny...

Not just the looks but the voice too. And with how annoying Jaime was in season 1 and 2 (I hated him as much as Joffrey) all I saw was the shrek villain every episode lol.

I actually love how his character has changed over the seasons, from an unlikeable jackass that you wanted to punch out who would kill a kid just because he felt like it to someone who actually isn't that bad and has a decent nobility underneath it all.

He's still an a****** though but he let's the good side shine through on occasion.

Season 3 and 4 were just set up to the main journey, since the latter season was about if Jaime could go back to the old life.

This new season will finally see Jaime wanting to change himself, since Tyrion is gone, Tywin dead and Cersei decending into further madness.

I think Jaime should pull a "Mr Han" (from Enter The Dragon). Have weapons built to replace his lost sword hand. A dagger blade, a mace head, an axe head, a four bladed claw, etc. They'd be far better use in a fight than his golden hand.

At least, that's what I think anyway.

Or maybe do what Guts from Beserk does? Have a strong magnet in the iron hand to help hold the sword, a mini cannon built in and an attachment for rapid fire arrows?

Never heard of Berserk. Is it a movie? Comic book? Novel?

I originally thought maybe a mechanical hand like what Ash built in Army of Darkness, but I thought that might be "too out there".

One thing he could replace his sword hand with is, well, a sword. Remember that sword built into a gauntlet that Madmartiggen used in the final battle in the movie Willow? Something kinda like that.
