I just found out that my sister got a Wii for her birthday 2 days ago. All she has right now is Wii Sports. Since I now have access to a Wii, Im wondering what games are reccommended? I already own a PS3, so any games that are also out for that and the PS2 are out of the question

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Resident Evil 4
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Super Mario Galaxy
...if you are into sports, get that Live 08, and Madden 08 - Even though, yes they are on other platforms, but on the Wii, its just fun using the Wiimote to throw and shoot around, its still worth a try I think.
Zelda: Twilight Princess

These games are on point.

Wii Fit is pretty cool. Seriously.
Im looking for more of a game and I dont need a fitness equipment. Im looking into Smash Bros Brawl and Super Mario Galaxy. Im really not a fan of the Wii's motion controls but its at a minimum in those games and I liked them in stores.

How is Warioware? I loved the series on the Gameboy and my sister will probably be more into that since its a collection of minigames

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Mario Kart
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Paper Mario
Zelda: TP
Mario Party 8 (if you have group of friends to play it with)
Madden 08 (seriously, the motion control makes passing fun)
The Bigs (I just love to pitch with a Wiimote; seems more realistic than game pad)

It is very good but after you have mastered the games it lacks replay value good for drunken partys though :-)

I would get:

No more heroes

resident evil 4 (i owned the gamecube version and still bought this as the motion control is superb however if you have never played and dont want the wiimote then you can use a gamecube pad and all the onscreen promts change to the gamecube ones)

Resident evil umberella chronicals (best light gun game ever, very good with gun grips and on two player)

metroid

smash bros looks good but we still aint got it in the uk so i cant confirm that. Also pick up some cheap gamecube games and play them, eternal darkness, resident evil remake, etc

and also dont forget the retro games from the store

Agreed with Smylex. If you've never had a Gamecube, must have games include Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil Remake, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, and might as well get Resident Evil 0 while you're at it.

I myself got the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess since it's the original, correct version.
