my favorite one is about how there are no viruses on Macs...which is true, because nothing important that would require a virus for people to get into them is done on macs...no financial stuff of any kind...it's like they're saying "No one in the real world other than graphic artists uses our computer!" right in there ad.
I die laughing at the virus one, simply because if you get more and more people to use Macs, hackers will have more and more incentive to write viruses for them! The only reason why they haven't now is because so few people currently use Macs compared to PCs. You write a devastating virus for a Mac, you bring down a few million people (there may be more, I'm totally guessing here). You write a devastating virus for a PC, you bring entire companies down. You'd be FAMOUS.
I'll be cackling with "karma is a *****" laughter if Apple's ad campaign is successful...and then they get hit with a really bad virus. OMG, that would totally make my year.
I've been so used to PCs, that when my dad bought a G5 I still preferred using my PC for doing stuff. Well, even then I was the only one in the family bothering to learn how to use the Mac - the design is superb ("The processor is IN the monitor?? What???") and everything looks nicer on the screen, but it isn't as fast as everyone says it is. I may be biased since I have a superfast PC and I know how to get things done on it. When I left home I was still figuring out how to find files and set up things on the Mac.
I actually think that I may have an easier time learning a new OS than Mac users, since everything is so simple and intuitive on a Mac. I'm able to think like Windows does, LOL, which is a bit meandering and "Woh!" at times, but it works.
