Hi all,

I would love to know what brought you joy this year? I’ll go first…

- my partner found a job which helped us both out financially
- we went on a beautiful holiday to the beach
- there were so many television shows I really loved this year like sandman and rings of power.

and you?

There was a few...but the latest was when Japan beat Germany and Spain (2 titans in the world soccer history) in the World Cup group stage. Especially nothing can beat the joy and excitement the moment we scored the 2nd goal in that Spain match.

And the thrilling and epic World Cup final also brought joy to me personally.

Other thing, I think when me and partner can also saving better compared to last year's financially. Hehe

Me finding this thread so I can list things that brought me joy this year.

Seeing that the entertaining youtube RamboRalph4Life does do payed requests for movie reviews, and other entertainment topics since he has a Patreon, and a Paypal.
So someday in the future I'll send him a request to his Paypal for him to review the underrated great action movie (1991) Born to Ride which has John Stamos playing a badass Hero that rides a Motorcycle along with Army Soldiers in a rescue mission in an Indiana Jones style Action movie.

Went to Scotland.

Saw the northern lights over Iceland.

Saw my family a lot despite the 1,000 mile difference.

Scotland is awesome especially Edinburgh

My youngest son ran his first half marathon with me in 2022.

My boys started being able to beat me at chess on occasion.

My wife and I took a a couple of days off from work throughout the year to “play hookey”. We would go out to lunch and watch movies on the couch while our boys were at school.

My oldest son and I got snowed in and had to rent a hotel room when he was downtown for a music camp and I was at work. We ended up hanging out watching Scream movies and The Office and had a great time just hanging together.

this is for 2022 right?

Bought a new car, my first brand new car ever.
Saw Gladys Knight perform live (Bucket List for me)
A dear friend had her first baby
Went to a wedding in PA
Saw Renee Elise Goldsberry live in concert
Went to Wicked with my Best Friend
my work team was nominated for an award (we didn't win, but the nomination was great)
Met Dale Jr.
Celebrated St. Patty's with a bunch of friends; had a blast.

My cat definitely brought me some joy this year. Can't thing of anything else

i missed my 2023 update:

* got an award and a promotion at work
* had another amazing st. patrick's day with friends
* had a huge event at work
* great birthday
* went to Christmastown for the first time
* visited my Great-Aunt for her 90th bday with family from at least 3 states

gonna skip all the bad from last year, like breaking my back etc.

Getting film rights, to a definite project that’s going to sell, this week turned everything into a major win.

They’re rights that a major company used to have before falling under and thankfully went somewhat under the radar after which will make it at least somewhat fresh again. 😎

My zoo memberships. I like getting in without having to pay each time. Makes me want to go more often. :D

i finally got to see the atlanta braves play in person. took almost 40 years, and it was in baltimore, my 2 favorite teams

Knowing that worst comes to worst in the political landscape, at least I’ll have a wedding and starting the process of becoming a father to distract me.

Which is going to look somewhat like this film. Just thankfully husband also wants baby and going to go full on adoption or surrogacy route.

That’s all to say, saying I’m going to be busy is going to be a huge understatement.
