It's the whole motivation behind what he's doing and they cant ignore that. Besides, it would give them the opportunity to keep him in the sidelines (too many Lex movies so far) while Brainiac can be the main villain. The latter's attack will make him realise that earth is becoming a battlefield for alien powers and humanity isnt properly prepared to deal with that.
In the sequel we see him build Metallo, his trademark armour and tons of
weapons.
I dunno, its a little confusing. The article said that he was already known by Lois and others so I guess it could mean either he has just started out, or he is already established..Either way is fine by me. Just bring it on.I thought they were going to go with a rookie Superman. As in a Superman who has been around saving cats and blowing out fires for some time, but he hasnt had his first supervillain fight yet.
I hope that is the case, because unlike Superman's origin, modern Lex's hasnt been seen anywhere besides Smallville (and that sucked). First of, apologies if there is already a similar thread.
So, what would you like to see in the reboot? Be it a character, a scene, a certain plot, a specific action scene, the tone of the movie, etc.
I want to see landings and take-offs with a real, human, non-CG Superman. Y'know, old school. I could understand using a CG character for some of the flying, but there's something about seeing the real man take off and touch down that is so, so much more effective.
Agreed, to a certain extent. I should have said, I want real human/wire work for scenes that could best utilize it, which would likely be non-action scenes. If he does need to take off in a hurry, though, I'd much rather they do (at least once) some awesome camera movement that actually flies up with him after lift-off. So, instead of him going WHOOSH and becoming a blurred splotch flying up into the distance (a la Heroes or Smallville), the camera/audience would actually fly up with him.I kind of disagree. It just depends on the situation. If he's in the middle of battle, lands quickly then takes off i want to see a really fast/powerful take off like this :

But if he's flying casually or landing casually then sure use a human on wires.

When it comes to the flying, I want audiences to feel as much a part of it as possible. I was shocked and disappointed at the flying in Superman Returns. Except for some really good work in the plane rescue, the flights felt very standard, and thus pretty bland.
