^^I think for some people spanking works. My parents hardly ever spanked me, I can count on my fingers how many time I did....and when they did it was because I did something REALLY bad and totally deserved it.
But I think one of the biggest reasons why youth is becoming viscious is because of: violent Tv and Videogames.
Yes, say what you want but these have definitely have had an effect. Children at the age of 12 play grand theft auto, shooting people for sport. Or they'll watch violent films were people are slaughtered to death....I am not blaming the filming industry or video games for this, they can't control all those children however videogames and films do play a role.
O Rly? I don't think that violent TV or videogames has had as much impact as you think. I think the impact comes from children being raised by violent TV and videogames. The same thing would happen if children were raised by the News or a weird parent. This is a parenting issue entirely.Just think about it...way back in the 60s Hitchcock's Psycho was the goriest thing out in theaters (he even made the film black and white because he knew it'd be too gory for audiences)...if someone said today that Psycho is one of the goriest films they'd ever seen, they'd probably get laughed at.
The newer generations are so used to violence and gore that I can't say I'm too surprised a lot of them take the deaths of other indivduals so casually.
