I didn't see a thread for this. I searched and found some references in people's posts but not an actual thread.

I usually hate singing shows, but I found myself liking this one. I think the Blind Auditions is the most interesting part of the show. Unfortunately, after the Battle Rounds this show becomes nothing more than another singing show. My favorite coach is currently X-Tina. She can be a total diva b**ch but I think she has enough knowledge of music and vocals to actually mentor some of these kids unlike Blake.

Long story short, I like the show and here's a thread for anyone wanting to discuss it.

So here's a promo for the show's upcoming fourth season with Shakira and Usher:

You should have open this thread a long time ago.
I prefer Bladam over Xtina any day. As a coach Xtina might be better but her ear for talent is really bad and too expected. And her decisions...:whatever:

I would have, but I kind of thought if someone liked it enough it would have been made already.

First, I too ship the Bladam bromance. Even though I don't really like Mr. Lavine.

Also yeah, she is definitley the worst when it comes to forming teams and choosing who should stay and who should go. I hated that she got rid of Jesse from her team in season two. He easily could have won that season for her. And I also hated that she chose one of her diva clonettes instead of De'Borah the Whoopi Goldberg/Steve Urkel hybrid in the recent season. Oh well, she and Cee Lo are gone now, so let us see how Usher and Shakira fair.

Christina and Cee-Lo are only gone for the latest season.

 Oops. I guess I did make it sound like they were gone for good... Sorry about that. :O

Well who knows, I could see their leave extending if Usher and Shakira prove a hit with the audience. Though I think they shouldve got an entire new panel and keep switching between the two.

But I am mad that none of Xtinas people made it to the finals. I feel like this was her best group of singers this season.

I thought Christina had a pretty strong team going into the battle/knockout rounds, but once they entered the live shows not so much. Sylvia was all power and nothing more, Dez was a pretty boy with a passable yet nasally voice, De'Borah (whom I liked) just would not stop jumping around on stage, which hurt her vocal performance on Who Knew and the others were interchangeable with Sylvia.

Second night of the Blinds are on tonight. To quote Sawyer, "Ya'll better watch or I'll cut you!" :o

I am loving Shakira and Usher on this show and Shakira's music knowledge, she be spouting that terminology. :atp:

Interestingly, I find Adam not as engaging for some reason, I wonder what's up with me.

I liked the last girl, the music student, but only when she belted out and that grit came out. Of course the model turned singer will go pretty far... Maybe. :sus

I'm calling it Warren will be Adam's Chosen One for this season. Bye Sara and Judith. :(

Michelle going with Usher was weird, I would have preferred her going with Shakira. It even looked like Usher was downplaying any praise in hopes that he didn't get her.

As for Julie Roberts, I don't know, I thought with the whole backstory we were getting a big surprise or something instead it was a slight disaster. Better luck next time I guess. Will miss Brazil boy, I wanted to hear him and Shakira converse some more. :)

Warren? Do you think he'll win or just be Adam's cantestant in the final?

About Michelle...I think she fits better with Adam not Shakira. Why would you'd prefered her to go with Shakira?

I believe he'll be Adam's contestant in the finale or if they're sticking with the free-for-all instead of the top four being comprised of one member from each coach's team, then he'll probably attempt to bus his other contestants to make him look good. Of course, I could be wrong.

 I could have sworn I included Adam in that post. I actually would have preferred anyone but Usher as he seemed less enthused by her.

I missed most of tonight's episode, only saw the country girl singing Taylor Swift and Civil Wars. Of course she picks Blake. :whatever:

I don't think we'll see Warren as Adam's last act standing. In fact, right now, i'm not sure he'll be one of Adam's acts in the live show. Adam has better acts, who fits with him better, in his team, already. IMO. We'll just have to wait and see. :yay:

Looks like Blake's team is going to be predominately country this season. Gawd, I'm starting to hate Adam every time he spouts out the 'this show is really about' nonsense. We get it, this isn't Idol. :whatever:

I feel sorry for Shakira, can't seem to win a head-to-head unless the singer was a major fan of her to begin with.

Well She did won the fight over Shawna P.

Anyway IMO best episode of the blind auditions so far.

I don't think I've seen Shawna's audition. :hmm

I agree that this batch was pretty good with the exclusion of Teenage Dream boy. I think he had a passable voice, but it didn't work with that song.

I've gotten to the point where I want to see the Battle Rounds. Hopefully, they've decided to combine elements of both the Battle and Knockout rounds from last year. :yay:

This show has a lot of good things going for it, but terminology is not one of them. The "Steals" are hilariously mis-named. They're "stealing" people who've been kicked off the show. That's not Stealing, that's Saving. Oh, but they've already used "Saving" for when you vote for somebody. You vote to "Save" somebody. On the final show, you're voting to "Save" the winner. Whatever. Usher's all like "Nobody's gonna steal my constestants!" Of course when his contestants are leaving the show crying, he's all happy when another coach throws out a net.

Why Combine? Keep it separated.
It's redundant! The Knockout Rounds are basically a turn-by-turn version of the Battle Rounds, the coaches still decide who wins the battle and they're paired up by their coaches. They should just find a way to combine them.

So far I am on Team Sasha, there's something special about her, IMO. As for the coaches teams I would put them in this order: Adam, Shakira, Usher, and then Blake. Originally I would have said Judith and Sarah were Adam's frontrunners, but now I'm banking on Amber.

Originally there was only the battle round with no "steal". The knock out rounds are basically the original battle round. This show definitely loves its redudancy. Like after they just showed 4 hours of knock out rounds showing clips from each contestant's audition and latest round, they have to have ANOTHER hour showing their "road to the live shows". I watch a lot of Voice, but I have to draw the line at the recap of the recap of the recap.

My wife and I are watching for the first time this season. We jumpe on the Danielle bandwagon quickly. I'd definitely say I have preferred Blake and Adam's teams to Shakira and Usher's (Blake's especially, since I am a country guy). I am truly confused about what the coaches love so much about Josiah.

He's definitely being kept in hopes he will get the 'pretty boy' vote like Dez did last season. One thing I find annoying this year is that no one seems to want to criticize or actually critique a performance. All they're doing is piling on endless praise.

Which is sort of how American Idol has gotten without Simon Cowell there to provide actual criticism.

It always been like that on The Voice.

1 thing i hopes for - Joshia won't make it farther. I want to see Usher reaction if he'll be voted off next week. I think it'll be priceless.
