This is the first spiderman cartoon where my main concern isn't about pete.

The supporting cast in this show is so strong, i reckon i could go a whole season without seeing spiderman himself

just have a sandman/rhino show alternating with a mmm show.

i actually die a lil inside when pete turns into spiderman.

how the hell did they manage such an epic feat like that?

Not even the justice league had a supporting cast this interesting and it had 30/40 characters to pick from.

it's kinda like the animated OC with funny tidbits from villains.

Yeah, even X-Men Evo, which had tons of wonderful characters, didn't develop them this well.

A Rhino/Sandman sPinoff sitcom would be funny. Like they're roommates or something who rob banks for a living.

I suppose we should see your concern as a huge positive. I died a bit inside everytime MacGuire turned into Spidey, but it definitely wasn't because I found the cast so interesting lol....

it's not a concern, its a testimony to his supporting cast that they can hold their own.

There are alot of character interactions on the show that have nothing to do with parker or spiderman and they all work.

it's just a well developed universe and its roughly only 8 hours old. pete coudl easily take a backseat and i don't think anyone would mind

I love the supporting cast as well. They have all been developed and well written over each episode. It makes you relate to them. I actually enjoy all the drama that goes on with them. This season Flash has really grown on me. Some of the things he says is really funny.

he's had quite a lot of development for no 'obvious reason'.

Yeah, I remember Weisman stating that Flash would get a lot of development this season and thus he would be a focal point. He also mentioned Foswell which I assume we will see more of him during Gang War arc.

The series is like Eisner's spirit. It isn't Spiderman that makes this show great, it is the people he meets and interacts with that show the reality of this fiction.

Yeah, this show really, IMO, effected the superhero animated series universe. This show is jsut SOOOO powerful, IMO.

I've always found the villains more interesting.

Evil is so much more fascinating, IMO.

HEY! You don't sPeak for all of us! :cmad:

Oh, nevermind. I just noticed you wrote IMO twice. lol

I can't help but wonder though... Flash seems really obsessed over Sha Shan (whom I just noticed in a few scenes at the dance in Catalysts) because the idea of a girl not being into him is somehow alien to him. Didn't MJ pretty much do the same in season one? Why ain't he still fiending for her? Only thing I can think of is because she seems to be friends with the girls in the in-crowd so that might throw a monkey wrench in the whole group dynamics thing.

Either that or, ya know, they slept together once, got what they needed and went on with that out of the way lol

I could really use some kind of throwaway line to explain what happened there.

Thats why spider-man is my favorite superhero

the stories of peter parker and friends alone are so great....you can take spider-man from the story...it would still be interesting

just like how ultimate spider-man and spider-man loves mary jane are in our modern times

heck even the stan lee run...there are times, i skip pages where spidey beat up robbers only to see if he will go out with mary jane or gwen.

I am glad Spec SM....recaptures the magic of Spider-man

I think its because MJ would at least be friendly towards him. Sha Shan shows absolutely no interest whatsoever.

Yea its a shame the movies couldn't do the same. Maybe the next Spider-Man will be different...oh wait...Sam Raimi is doing that one...well maybe the one after that.......oh wait.....

2020?

i felt this last episode had pretty much no student interaction, and it suffered for it.

saying that though, there was a decent amount of villain development shown

well the whole show cant just be about peter's life and school we need to see all the other stuff like bugle life, spidey life, and the villains need to have their development too.

I think this episode was good timing to focus more on the villains and the plot. Besides there will be a lot more focus on the high school teens when they do that school play that will be in the final arc. So it's cool.
