So my job really really has no idea how much anything not clothes/furniture is worth.

I got some Beats by Dre headphones for $5 since they couldn't make them work and planned to toss them (they need batteries and the cover wasn't obvious to open it to check) and they were going to toss a bunch of comics so I took them instead. I was going to give them to my nephew who's turning 10 and decided to check the price of one of them.

It's Evil Ernie #1 and as per the internet, ungraded by the CGC, it's worth about $160.

Seriously, WTF? I'm a little scared to find out what else they might have tossed that's worth as much.

They were also going to toss a copy of Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow? which is really an excellent story and a shame to toss. My nephew is getting that and Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader? as they're both excellent and amazing stories by my favorite writers.
