A resounding meh as well, but hopefully things will get better this fall when I transfer to a better skewl. The one I'm at now is pretty much the epitome of ****.

Which college is it?

Because of the death of the James Bond franchise?

I know.

I know...

Is there news I do not know about, or are you referring to our personal distain towards Solace?

Eh.

Let the folding of clothes commence. Be back

Jersey City (for now). It's right across the river from NYC, so I guess that's cool.

Yeah. We got Georgia St., which is in the heart of Atlanta. 'Bout as close to the city as one can get.

I've always wanted to see NY, but could not stand to live there. Yuck the Fankees.

Rutgers is a good school. Where are you now?
I spent most of my childhood in NJ. A LOT of students in my elementary school "gifted class" ended up going to Rutgers. (Yay for Facebook.) So it's probably not THAT bad. :funny:

Haha, I'm actually going to a Mariners/Yankees game next month. I'm gonna wear my Mariners hat with PRIDE. Haters gonna hate.

I've read a lot of reviews saying that New Brunswick is pretty seedy and that folks are getting held up outside the dorms and stuff. Kinda makes me second guess myself, but it's really the only option I have as of now.

That might be the case even at a good school. My cousin went to Johns Hopkins for biomedical engineering, and Baltimore is a dump even if it's got one of the most prestigious medical schools in the country. Last Christmas he was mugged at knifepoint outside of his apartment, which is definitely not in gangland Baltimore. :wow:

When I went to UC Berkeley for a summer, a friend of a friend got mugged on our street. You just have to be aware of your surroundings.

Pat on the back for me for actually working on my hair for an hour or two

Mos. Def. There are places in my small town where one would not roam. In college, my brother and I insisted on paying 100 to 150 more, a piece, on an apartment, just to know we lived in a place where we could take groceries out of the car at midnight.

How does one work on dreadlocks? I'm SO lazy, the most I do is wash it. Yay for Asian hair I don't have to worry about. :funny:

That's a fair price to pay. But then again I'm a petite female, so I've been brainwashed by my paranoid father to always pay attention that stuff. :funny:

Anita, you still have that avvy....*gets hypnotized*
Yeah, I'm too lazy to get it changed. :funny:

I don't even have avatars enabled on my board view. I get distracted easily, too much clutter!

Well...I have to tighten the roots, which basically means rubbing the dreads into my scalp...which hurts a bit

i have to tighten the ends, which means taking the end in one hand and rubbing it against my other palm

and i have to re-weave all the loose hair back in, taking those little blue loops for looping floss through braces and weaving the hair back in.

My old man made us paranoid as well. But paranoia is not worth saving 100 bucks a month.

We had a place that was gated, in a high-rise, etc, etc.

I never felt more safe. They had their own Starbucks, and they gave it to residents for free. That plus the huge patrolmen, was well worth the sweetass apartment and price.

Aces!!!!!

Yeeeeeeeees?
