That might be the case even at a good school. My cousin went to Johns Hopkins for biomedical engineering, and Baltimore is a dump even if it's got one of the most prestigious medical schools in the country. Last Christmas he was mugged at knifepoint outside of his apartment, which is definitely not in gangland Baltimore. :wow:

When I went to UC Berkeley for a summer, a friend of a friend got mugged on our street. You just have to be aware of your surroundings.

I definitely always keep my wits when walking places at night; I take my earbuds out, keep my bear-mace within reach, etc. I really could use a trip to the ol' weight room, though.

Mos. Def. There are places in my small town where one would not roam. In college, my brother and I insisted on paying 100 to 150 more, a piece, on an apartment, just to know we lived in a place where we could take groceries out of the car at midnight.

I kinda miss living in a small town. I miss fresh air the most.

well that bond stuff sucks...i was really looking forward to the sequel to solace

Well...I have to tighten the roots, which basically means rubbing the dreads into my scalp...which hurts a bit

i have to tighten the ends, which means taking the end in one hand and rubbing it against my other palm

and i have to re-weave all the loose hair back in, taking those little blue loops for looping floss through braces and weaving the hair back in.
Phew, sounds like a lot of work! Much respect from me for that kind of dedication.

Well, it's either respect or befuddlement. :funny:

My old man made us paranoid as well. But paranoia is not worth saving 100 bucks a month.

We had a place that was gated, in a high-rise, etc, etc.

I never felt more safe. They had their own Starbucks, and they gave it to residents for free. That plus the huge patrolmen, was well worth the sweetass apartment and price.
DUDE, if I had Java Chip fraps for free.....:o

Don't be texting either. :oldrazz:

Is there news I do not know about, or are you referring to our personal distain towards Solace?
MGM is broke, so Bond 23 is on indefinite hold.

Hopefully Rutgers. Even though it's a **** hole compared to most states' schools. ****ing New Jersey haha.

My cousin goes to Rutgers I think... jussayin...

My cousin is from San Francisco.

Are you considering Rutgers too?

I'm ok with no more bond for a while, Solace was really bad compared to Royale.

am i the only person who liked quantum of solace?
Nah. I liked it. But when you start comparing it to Casino Royale, it doesn't seem near as good. It's still a decent action flick though.

damn. it was good though! i enjoyed seeing a progression of character v. the same static guy in another wacky adventure.

Never saw it actually, but I enjoyed the first one. I wasn't that impressed with the trailers for it, and I didn't want to kill the enjoyment of Casino Royale.

Sounds like most people's experiences with Iron Man 2.

So today I watched Paprika

amazingly well animated, like, one of the best I've ever seen but Madhouse always is the top when it comes to animation.

Well it's usually the problem with most sequels. QoS was basically the only direct sequel in the whole franchise. People were bound to compare. Plus, it's hard to beat ****ing Casino Royale.
