Jessica Biel.

Trinity wasn't too much, but she was absolutly smoking. Her body was muscular but in a good, athletic, non roided up manish way (not sure if shes still like it) and she was definitly the highlight of the movie.

Anyone who agrees, say aye!

BOOOOO!!!!!!
NAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take that and go somewhere with it.
She's part of the main reason people hated Trinity.
What the series needs is too spotlight Blade and focus on him and his battle against the vampire underworld. Not focus on women who are just eye candy and don't really add to the story.

But what eye candy. It's nice to see an actress who actually looks like she COULD kick ass unlike twigs like Buffy ,etc.

I don't think it's fair to blame her. The third film was poorly directed and written, nothing to do with Biel or Ryan Reynolds for that matter.

It's not Jessica's fault, even though I hated the way her "ass-kickery" was shown a bit too much and became something I roll my eyes at (The archery scene, the ipod in 3 scenes  )

It's David Goyer's half-ass direction's fault and script sucked.
No way should Dracula be a lacky. He should've been the Magneto of the Blade movies.

By the way, Jess looked good.

ay im for bringing her back...and i like trinity it was good movie.. biel was smokin plus my man was funny as *****. should have/could have been longer though.

This show doesn't need Biel. If she stole time away from Wesley, imagine what'll happen to poor Sticky.

Of course, I'm not blaming her. I think it was Goyer's poor direction, and his desire to launch the Nightstalker franchise off the back of Blade, really denying the Blade movies a proper closer, and probably deep sixing his precious Nightstalker franchise in the process. Just desserts I suppose.

This series needs...
1) Blade as the central character. Everything needs to revolve around him. It is his journey, his struggles, his growth and development that should be front and center.
2) Good stories/plot. I really hope this series has something to say, goes somewhere, and doesn't stand in place. But mainly, I want it to excite and entertain.
3) Convincing villians. More of villians like Frost, Nomak, Damaskinos, less of Danica Talos and Drake.
4) Decent FX/action. Of course it can't be as good as the movies, but hopefully it'll be on the level of Alias or 24.
5) Good, dark, atmospheric cinematography. A feel like the early X-Files or Supernatural would be good.

Back to Biel...
I was watching Trinity just this morning, and I wasn't impressed with her fight scenes. She came off unscathed in each one, while Blade-a hybrid & esp. Hannibal King-a former vamp-took way more lumps. That was unbelievable. Same with the I-Pod, the come here gesture, her taking out four vampires by herself.

Biel is attractive, but her character was unbelievable. Buffy was a whole lot more convincing as a vampire slayer. But once again, I put that on Goyer's shoulders and not her.

There were other dumb things, like Blade never seeing her before, but knowing who she was-right after he had been rescued. That was followed by a scene by Blade saying that he thought Whistler's family was murdered, and she then tells him she was born out of wedlock. Shouldn't Blade know all of that all ready? Her character, backstory, just didn't add up. Goyer should've just made the Abigail character Rachel Van Helsing. It would've helped clear things up a little more.

And maybe even added another layer to why she wanted to take out vamps or Drake.

Jill Wagner's already got the white girl quota filled. Bad enough they couldn't see fit to bring back Karen Jensen.

I've always said this Snipes whated to end the series then changed his f**king mind at the last minute so I know where I'm pointing the finger of blame. The Nightstalkers ex[panded the universe, hell Whistle couldn't have done all the things he did on his own even before he met Blade I'd like to see both King and abby guest star.

Here's to hoping. Besides it would only seem right if this series is after all a continuation.

I had no problem with Biel in the movie besides the iPod placements. Reynolds is the thing that ruined Trinity as far as I'm concened. But as fine as I think Biel is (she's absolutely luscious) she nor the character of Abigail Whistler is needed in this series.

i liked ryan reynolds in this. my man was to funny.

Reynolds' character at least had a pulse. Abigail was a pretty cipher. She didn't seem affected by Whistler's death at all. There was almost no emotion from her. I can understand that with Blade, since he's half man/half vamp. But Abby is a human that just stakes vamps. She should've had more emotion than the shower scene and the slow suit up toward the end.

Reynolds had a pulse, and a big mouth, but was ultimately ineffective. It was hard to believe he was a vampire hunter at all, as he got beaten by everyone, even Danica. He was a clown, and ultimately ruined the tone of the movie. Abi could have used more character development, even if it was just to expound on what is implied (that Abi is doing it simply because she's a adrenaline junkie), but I could deal with her "pretty cipher" over Ryan's chatty Cathy wimp.

It makes sense that Hannibal King would be getting beat down, he's facing super powered vampires after all. (But he did defeat Grimwood). And Danica finally came on as a real threat when she faced King.

However, Abby was taking down vamps like it was no sweat. Therefore no challenge, real conflict, or suspense. She was boring.

At least it was a challenge to King. I don't think a vamp even touched Abby. That's too 'unrealistic' for a vampire movie. I do agree that she needed more character development. Being an adrenaline junkie was a little thin. I really think Goyer erred in not giving us a Whistler/Abby scene, or scenes.

I might also have to agree with you that King's lightness did ruin the tone of the film. But that's on Goyer. There seems to be a tendency to camp up third movies for a lot of these series (Batman, Superman). But I don't think King was all that bad.

Perhaps if Goyer had done a better job with the characterization/plotting, or whatever, you could've had King and Blade representing to different ways of staking vamps. And they are forced to work together, using their two different styles.

In response to Twilight, the new Christa Starr character might provide the jiggle factor, and I'm sure there will be at least one or two evil female vamps that will be worthy of a few double takes.

That'd cold have been good if realized, like 48 Hours with vampires. There was so much potential with Trinity, and none of it was realized. Had they gotten Del Toro back, I think Trinity, with the exact same script, could have been much, much better. But IMHO, the script could've used one more polish.

I agree. The script wasn't all that bad. It was the execution. Under the right guidance, Drake could've been just as menacing as Frost or Nomak.

Just say no.

She has an excellent rear end, and a pretty face, but other than that she'd do nothing in the TV show except steal the focus away from Blade. If there are good vs. evil fight scenes I think 80% of them should involve Blade alone.

If it ain't broke with Batman, Superman and Spiderman (ie, not having a strong female figure as a sidekick) then Blade sure as hell doesn't need one.

UNLESS, she is the primary antagonist and gets her a$# kicked by Blade.

IMHO

I have always said the same thing. Had Del Toro directed Trinity with the exact same script, the movie would have been just as epic(if not more)as Blade 2. And I also believe Del Toro would have made Dracula more fearsome and a leader like he should've been. Goyer was just too inexperienced for directing this kind of movie.

The biggest thing this series needs is a station other than SpikeTV. Oh and have you noticed how well the show is being promoted...

*looks at lack of any promotion listing on SHH homepage*

Good job guys, way to get the word out.:up:

Yeah, the Hype has always been bias towards Blade, don't ask me why but he doesn't get the same attention as other heros.

Biel herself is not to blame, it's Goyer. Abigail was too much like buffy, and she was to Blade what Jinx was to James Bond in Die Another day. Nobody wants to see the main star and hero undermined by someone else. We came to see Blade, not the 'Blade team'...

does the show take place after Trinity?
