In an interview just shown. Stephen Amell says he hopes to see the Justice League on the show. Which got me wondering. Could they use Arrow's version of GA in a theatrical version of the Justice League. I have seen nothing that could not translate him into a movie.

Thoughts?

I'd love to see Amell in a JL movie eventually. But he'd have to embrace the Green Arrow persona entirely by then.I can't see them still calling him "The Hood" in the JL.

I'd actually really dig it if they did a green arrow movie with the cast of arrow after the five seasons they have planned, which could then lead into his involvement with the justice league.

Yeah, sure ! After at least 5 years of character development. Amell's character is Green Arrow like his was in Year One. Not just physicaly but as a character he is not fully shaped yet. He is a b-batman right now. He needs to be a liberal/lefty/cocky/awesome JLA cartoon quality guy if he is going to enter the JLA.

IF he ever did transition into the live action film for the JL, then he would seriously need an upgrade in costume since it's evident that his costume and bow look like they were made strictly for a TV budgeted show.

but yeah, I mean, we've already gotten a candid shot of him and superman.lol

Wouldn't happen. If (and that's a big if) they decide to put Green Arrow on the big screen, they'll want either a bigger name or someone who isn't as wooden.

Also, LOL this show's version of the Justice League would be this. There's the "Guy Who Runs Really Fast", the "Guy Who Dresses Like a Bat", "Really Strong Woman", you see where I'm going with this.

Not even that much since they want it to be as grounded in reality as possible and Batman is strictly off limits for any use I believe.

So assuming they do make a JLA film, it wouldn't be this Green Arrow any more than it would be Smallville's Superman. They'll want someone with more star power and no connection to the "prequel" version of their characters.

You don't need a big name to star in a superhero film.

How does Henry Cavill, Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire, etc. have "starpower"? The trailer and the character need to sell the film.

He could have a cameo in Justice League, but for now they should keep him as the TV embodiment of the DCCU expanding the universe for smaller characters.

Haha, lets say that JL will have Darkseid as the villain and the league would be asking Ollie for assistance. He checks through his fathers book and says "Nope, not on the list. Can't help you there" :woot:

Eesh, some of you guys act as if Cavill or Andrew Garfield were big names before they were announced as Spider-Man. Few people knew who either was (In Cavill's case, only fanboys knew who he was) until they were announced.

Needs goatee, needs to be called Green Arrow, he needs to BE Green Arrow, he needs to be a lefty, he needs to have a personality and a non batmanish cause.

I wouldn't mind Amell to be Green Arrow in a lets say.....SUPERMAX FILM !! Have it taking place in the future but also in the Man of Steel present and have the events of the tv show be the past. He is Green Arrow, possibly the mayor of Starling City that gets framed and sent to supermax (maybe because he was a vigilante and a killer), Deathstroke is the main bad guy (played by the badass Manu Bennett), you could recast the Black Canary or just teach Kate Cassidy how to be Black Canary. Don't give away a lot of things just nail GAs personality, politics pov, his opinion on Sups.

If he is included in the DCCU he won't be a major player thats for sure but its a great asset and since you have him sitting there might aswell use him properly.

Well, it seems like a lot of those things will happen over the course of the series, Nos. It's only been one season and the creators already said the reason he hasn't been called Green Arrow yet is that he both hasn't reached that point and doesn't deserve to be called Green Arrow.

Also, since he's an established character and it wouldn't be his first appearance, I now wouldn't be against Amell in a Supermax movie, though I'm 95% sure that project's dead.

At Comic Con the producers have said that Tommy's death has affected him greatly...He will be changing over from just going after the people on the list and going after everyday bad guys. The name will also change from the hood to green arrow.

The main story is there just adapt it to fit the DCCU. Goyer's script was that good from what ive heard anyway.

There are a lot of reasons a film like Supermax would work.

It will be a relatively small budget action flick (50-60 million) that expands your very very small universe. It will not ruin anything, it will be in tone but you can't make it a drama or a character arc but you can make it an action film WITH great characters. Introduce Waller, great B villains, Task Force X and most importantly Green Arrow will become an Iron Man level icon . His *****ey personality, his politics and the fact that he fights for the little man make him instantly Superman's opposite, Batman's pal and a guy we can instantly connect with.

If I was given this story i would do it like this :

Ollie is the mayor of Starling City, him and his GA persona have cleared the city from mob bosses, illegal prostitution, drugs etc. Green Arrow is semi retired, he doesn't do any vigilantisms but he stays in shape just in case. BOOM, City Hall doors opens Detective Lance obviously frustrated, followed by Amanda Waller, followed by special soldiers and a few cops arrest him for vigilantism under the alias the Hood and Green Arrow. He is convicted and charged for life while Waller is pushing for a death sentance but Dinah's genius(lol) gets him life imprisonment in SuperMax.

While at Supermax he is being misstreated and questioned daily for his time on the island, him being arrow, his collegues and his involvment with project Justice League (here is your connection)(nothing else)

Months go by and suddenly Deathstroke from the inside stages a prison riot with B villains like Captain Boomerang, Captain Cold, Count Verigo, members of Checkmate, Onomatopoeia, Cupid and a few Batman villains attacking The Green Arrow. Prior to that Ollie using a few recourses he had left, contacts Felicity and contracts Deadshot into breaking him out of prison, possibly because he ows him one (we could assume, us who watch the show that he saved Deadshot from Diggle). So he gets to his arsenal, he becomes Green Arrow again and he has to go from point A (his cell) to point B (an office at the end of the prison where Deathstroke is)(boss battle) Traps have been set by the supervillains but also by Waller who watches the whole thing with cameras.

Anyway thats how it plays out in my mind. Like I said a pure action movie with great characters.

I know what the creators of the show have in mind but problem is the dccu cannot wait for much longer. something needs to happen.

I'm not questioning whether it would work or not. I'm just saying that I don't think Supermax is on anyone at DC's minds or even on the radar. They also did scripts on Hawkman, Suicide Squad, Shazam and Flash, but of those projects only Flash is getting a movie, and that's becaue he's a Justice League character.

It's all the more sadder when you look at Marvel Studios, which has been around for like seven years, and all they're accomplishing, and DC just keeps struggling.

Dc don't have their own film studio with which they can focus purely on superhero films. They are divided amongst different executives and trying to unite them has always been troublesome. Hopefully the rebranding into DCE and streamlining of that company has had an effect in WB.

He will need a pardon for people he has killed. I can't see a guy with chargeable murders being in the JLA

Yes, they should. If this show goes for as long as Smallville or Supernatural it will be running right along as DC are establishing their cinematic universe. It would be dumb as hell not to bring this in and have the show drop easter eggs and acknowledge what's going on in the films. In JL2 they could bring in Green Arrow, who will be the fully mature Green Arrow we know from the comics who joined the league by then (assuming JL2 comes out in 2020, Arrow would be in season 8 and Amell 37...that's a perfect time for Green Arrow to join the league and Amell won't be too old).
