Ever Made :)

Larry Fong (Watchmen/Sucker Punch)

with Zack Snyder

With The Production Designer from UNDERWORLD

With an outragously high budget.

And a combination of real locations and sets :)

:wow:

The good thing is though, I am sure these new films will be style and substance.

It's going to be absolutely gorgeous.

Perhaps. I just hope it's also one of the better written, edited and acted superhero movies, otherwise the cool visuals will mean very little other than eye candy you enjoy for a viewing or two.

Yea, we know.

In terms of visual stuff, my only concern is how much of the effects WETA will be responsible for this film.

As I recall, they were in charge of the sequences involving Krypton and they were the ones that designed the Kryptonian armors/suits.

Needless to say, the stuff that they designed and produced were great.

It's really the effects for a lot of the Metropolis Battle stuff that was a bit medicore imho, despite being shot very well.

This is just my own personal opinion, but I always thought on how it was funny that in "The Avengers", they had great quality looking effects but very medicore cinematography...whereas MOS has stunning cinematography and a good amounts of quality effects every now and then throughout the film, sans the final big pieces (city scenes) and parts of the sv sequences.

Good for you. But it's clear to me many don't. So sometimes I like to state the obvious. :cwink:

Many of us do. This thread is about a positive aspect of the film that is something to be excited about.

Leave it to you to be a Debbie Downer and state the obvious. Thanks for that original and refreshing analysis.

I wonder if Fong will take the same approach like he did with Watchmen and use one camera to make sure every shot is important.

Bottom line, IMO, Zack Snyder should go full-on Zack Snyder.

Whatever else you may think of him, dude is a master visualist and Larry Fong will only enhance that. The handheld, cinéma vérité approach of MOS was an interesting experiment, but I think it's time for him to return to what he does best.

And yes, that includes some gratuitous slo-mo shots. :oldrazz:
