My Local Comic shop is trying to work something out with the Theater since it right there. lol
interesting here you go guys, Fiege mentions what's in Odin's tomb (posted the Warlock's Eye from the comics in the Easter egg thread)
It's interesting to ponder at times on the fact that
If Thor could defeat something as powerful as the Destroyer so easily, how many Frost Giants would it take to defeat him (when he's fighting alone?)
I mean, in the film, we hear that Thor/Sif/Loki/Warriors 3 are nearly killed by being overwhelmed by the frost giants in the film, and yet we also see on how unstoppable and powerful the Destroyer is (till it meets a fully powered Thor), and we even see it destroy a couple of Frost Giants in the beginning as well
^ Oh yeah, how was that scene between
the Destroyer and the frost giants?
Foreign bootlegs are starting to circulate finally.
There's still no English version, so box office is safeish
They're in the clear anyways, getting 93 Million.
Hmmm well there is only one and it is very brief:
Basically just before Thor is crowned Odin senses Frost Giants and activates the Destroyer....there are three Frost Giants and with one blast each there are dead lol. They don't last long.
And just to go off what someone else said.....Thor is not nearly killed in the Frost Giant fight....[BLACKOUT]he totals them all until he is forced to rescue everyone from that big snow animal thing.[/BLACKOUT]
Oh and one of my fave things is how [BLACKOUT]Laufey manages to get Thor to fight.[/BLACKOUT]
I'm just glad my Theater has a 2D and a 3D showing so I can see it in 2D first.
Cant wait for Thursday night at midnight ! t:
Last night, I picked up my tickets to the midnight premiere of Thor in 3D. Can't wait!!!
I'll be watching it again in a couples of hours. In 3D, this time.
ye there been an english one for a day or 2 now
Honestly, if the movie is good then people will still go see it in theatres even if they saw it online mostly because they want to see the action clearly which you can't online very well. If the movie is bad than seeing a bootleg is all you will need ala Wolverine
I'm seeing it tomorrow t: Scored a ticket.
I already bought a ticket for a Saturday showing so I guess I'm seeing it twice.
Branagh confirms we'll see about twenty minutes of deleted scenes on the DVD, featuring more of Hemsworth and Hiddleston, and Hopkins and Russo. http://splashpage.mtv.com/2011/05/02/thor-deleted-scenes-kenneth-branagh/
yeah there's a couple of spots in the film that you feel fast forwarded. a mention is even made of an off screen bar fight.
I thought that was just a joke about Selvig (a lightweight compared to Thor) getting drunk and picking a fight. I bet it wasn't filmed.
The only editing problems with Thor I had as I mentioned in the last thread were the jarring introduction to the Odinsleep (moreso for non-fans) and the choppy transition from Asgard to Bifrost during the climactic battle.
So I checked the theater times for my theater and to my utter dismay they're all in either IMAX 3D or 3D. I mean what the ****? They usually have it in 2D. I may see it in IMAX but I'm afraid they might cut out the after credits sequence. For anyone who has seen it in IMAX 3D or will can you tell me if it's there?
And the running time says 130 minutes. Weird.
I don't get that. Is the movie playing on only one screen(not including Imax of course)?
I checked my local theatre and it's got one screen in 3D and another in 2D.
finally saw the movie, next up cap, and gl.
Man I can't get my Video to record again. Off to work see ya peeps
