Awesome looking calendar! So many great shots this film has to use.

Here is a better look at Miek. Like Taika described previously is like a larva with a exoskeleton with knives... I guess when he and if he "hatches" at some point then he will become that big beast. "King" Miek or something of sorts.

Ha, cute. Odin looking cool too.

Feels like Ragnarok has a lot more personality than many other recent films and definitely more than the other Thor films.

Like we have been saying for some time this is not a regular Thor movie. This is more like an event movie than anything else. We have the team ups, the vastness of the worlds, Sakaar, Niflheim, Muspelheim, Asgard, the different races, the richness and amount of aliens/new characters... The Kirby influence. Ragnarok is much more layered and has a "grand" feel to it.

I feel that Thor Ragnarok is gonna have as a big an impact on the MCU as GOTG had back when it arrived. I also think that this movie, when all things are said and done, is gonna end up as one of the best of the hole MCU.

Yes, that's the feeling I get too. This is the solo I'm anticipating most since the start of the MCU (CW was also super-high but that had 12 Avengers so I don't really count it as a solo lol). Black Panther isn't too far behind too. How much are we expecting to see of other worlds outside of Sakaar and Asgard?

From what we know and it has been hinted at the 2 biggest "worlds" with most of the focus like you said seem to be Sakaar and Asgard. Apparently a lot of things in both worlds will happen in parallel to each other like Hela taking Asgard and most of our heroes dealing with their stuff on Sakaar.

Before all of this we should have the Muspelheim scenes with Thor imprisioned, a battle taking place against a version of Surtur... the Earth scenes with Thor, Loki, Doctor Strange, Hela, Odin... and also the Niflheim stuff with Hela and the Valkyries. If i had to give a rough estimate to the time percentage spent in all of these worlds i would say something like this. Give or take.

Asgard - 40%
Sakaar - 30%
Earth - 15%
Muspelheim - 10%
Niffelheim - 5%

I still don't know where the fight against Surtur in his prime form happens. It could be on Asgard or it could very well be on Muspelheim too and that would increase the time spent there

i think Surtur and Muspelheim will getting 2 Scenes the first is the One with Thor in Chains with Long Hair and the 2nd will one of the Final Battle Scnes Including The Hulk.

One other Question to all of you Ragnarok is a Confirmed Set Up for Infinity War so what you think will they Tease and Show us in the After Credits Scene(s)?

Thanks a lot for all that, I would have asked for exactly that kind of breakdown if I knew you'd have a good idea of it.

Gonna be so good seeing all these different locations. Will make the whole film feel as epic as a Thor film should. I think he is the character with the background with the most potential and the earlier films have kept a lid on that potential.

There are going to be several scenes with Surtur that's for sure. The question for me is wether the fight against a "prime Surtur" will happen in Asgard or Muspelheim. I think it could happen just after Sakaar on the heroes path to Asgard even though i don't see them being powerful enough to take down a fully fledged Surtur... so i would personally like it better if the battle against "prime Surtur" happened on Asgard by the end. And that could also explain a lot of things seen in the IW footage...

I wouldn't say it is a "Set up" for IW. It leads directly into IW and that's different. What happens in Ragnarok feeds directly into IW and Thanos quest to gather all the "Infinity Stones". The whereabouts of the "Space Stone" and "Soul Stone" will most likely come into play and end up being there for the taking by the end of Ragnarok like we saw with [BLACKOUT]Loki in a devastated place delivering Thanos the Tesseract aka "Space Stone"[/BLACKOUT]. I guess that could very well be Surtur's doing.

I presume that the Hulk vs. Surtur scene will be in Asgard (rather than Muspelheim) seeing as Hela has presumably unleashed Surtur specifically to destroy Asgard? I may be wrong.

I love this. :woot: He went to some hemmorrhoid prevention clinic, Assguard or something. :funny: Also:

Hela: Asgard will be reborn in my image!
Random Einherjar Guard: All right! Asgard is gonna be hot!
Hela: No kidding.

:hehe:

This parody video that Taika tweeted also cracks me the hell up, especially the guy dressed as the Hulk lol:

On the Fan Expo in Canada where the armors from Thor, Loki, The Grandmaster, Valkyrie, Skurge, Hela... we're being shown there where a couple of screens in the background with several interviews running at the same time. I caught a glimpse of Tom Hiddleston, Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson... all seemed to be talking about the movie in what looked like those interviews that are featured in the "Featurette" that is normally released some time before the movie comes out.

Here is the Doctor Strange Featurette. And the Featurette for Thor Ragnarok should be also dropping soon. Maybe in 10 days or so.

Dr Strange is barely going to be in this is he? Just a superquick cameo right?

That is what I am thinking. Probably the scene after the hammer breaks, Strange probably senses the presence of Hela and Thor.

I guess a few scenes with Thor in the Sanctum Sanctorum. We know that they meet and discuss Odin's whereabouts. There's also a scene where Doctor Strange is showing a map to Thor, DS warning Thor...

Damn, that looks cool to see them together there, even with Thor out of costume.

Would be cool to show him sensing that event and the significance of it.

:chd:

I feel like we're in the homestretch now, not far to go. I'll start a countdown thread once it gets past midnight here in the UK because it will officially be 50 days until the first international release date.

Also, what is Thor holding in those Hemsworth/Cumberbatch gifs? It looks like it could be a key? Interesting...

The marketing campaign will soon ramp up it's activity. September will be a "smoldering" month and October will be a "raging" one in terms of marketing for Ragnarok.

Featurette = In around 10 days.
Character Posters = Around the end of September (25/26th).
3rd Trailer = In the end of September.
1st Premiere = Apparently "October 12th"
"Movie Broll/Behind the Scenes" = Around October 17th.
Interviews/Talk Shows Appearances/Movie Clips... = Around October 18th
Around 50 spots = The hole month of October.
...

All of this if Thor Ragnarok follows in the footsteps of the Doctor Strange marketing campaign which it has been doing with the releases of the Teaser Trailer and Official Trailer. Both came out at pretty much the same time so and or take 2/3 days and that will most likely by the "marketing schedule" i would say. :yay:

The first 2 trailers have totally sated my bloodlust. I can't say that that's ever happened before on a film.

Same here. I feel completely content with footage and images and I'm just ready to see the film. Unfortunately it will be hard to avoid seeing at least the final trailer, and probably a lot of the photos as it's too much fun to hang around here to avoid that, but at the very least I'm not watching any TV spots or behind the scenes footage.
