Dope!
Like we have been saying for some time this is not a regular Thor movie. This is more like an event movie than anything else. We have the team ups, the vastness of the worlds, Sakaar, Niflheim, Muspelheim, Asgard, the different races, the richness and amount of aliens/new characters... The Kirby influence. Ragnarok is much more layered and has a "grand" feel to it.Feels like Ragnarok has a lot more personality than many other recent films and definitely more than the other Thor films.
Yes, that's the feeling I get too. This is the solo I'm anticipating most since the start of the MCU (CW was also super-high but that had 12 Avengers so I don't really count it as a solo lol). Black Panther isn't too far behind too. How much are we expecting to see of other worlds outside of Sakaar and Asgard?Like we have been saying for some time this is not regular Thor movie. I feel that Thor Ragnarok is gonna have an impact on the MCU as GOTG had back then. I also think that this movie when all things are said and done is gonna end up as one of the best of the hole MCU.
From what we know and it has been hinted at the 2 biggest "worlds" with most of the focus like you said seem to be Sakaar and Asgard. Apparently a lot of things in both worlds will happen in parallel to each other like Hela taking Asgard and most of our heroes dealing with their stuff on Sakaar.Yes, that's the feeling I get too. Before all of this we should have the Muspelheim scenes with Thor imprisioned, a battle taking place against a version of Surtur... the Earth scenes with Thor, Loki, Doctor Strange, Hela, Odin... and also the Niflheim stuff with Hela and the Valkyries. If i had to give a rough estimate to the time percentage spent in all of these worlds i would say something like this. Give or take.
Asgard - 40%
Sakaar - 30%
Earth - 15%
Muspelheim - 10%
Niffelheim - 5%
I still don't know where the fight against Surtur in his prime form happens. It could be on Asgard or it could very well be on Muspelheim too and that would increase the time spent there
There are going to be several scenes with Surtur that's for sure. The question for me is wether the fight against a "prime Surtur" will happen in Asgard or Muspelheim. I think it could happen just after Sakaar on the heroes path to Asgard even though i don't see them being powerful enough to take down a fully fledged Surtur... so i would personally like it better if the battle against "prime Surtur" happened on Asgard by the end. And that could also explain a lot of things seen in the IW footage...i think Surtur and Muspelheim will getting 2 Scenes the first is the One with Thor in Chains with Long Hair and the 2nd will one of the Final Battle Scnes Including The Hulk.
One other Question to all of you Ragnarok is a Confirmed Set Up for Infinity War so what you think will they Tease and Show us in the After Credits Scene(s)?
t: He went to some hemmorrhoid prevention clinic, Assguard or something.
Also:
That is what I am thinking. Probably the scene after the hammer breaks, Strange probably senses the presence of Hela and Thor.Dr Strange is barely going to be in this is he? Just a superquick cameo right?
I guess a few scenes with Thor in the Sanctum Sanctorum. We know that they meet and discuss Odin's whereabouts. There's also a scene where Doctor Strange is showing a map to Thor, DS warning Thor...Dr Strange is barely going to be in this is he? Just a superquick cameo right?
Would be cool to show him sensing that event and the significance of it.That is what I am thinking. Probably the scene after the hammer breaks, Strange probably senses the presence of Hela and Thor.
Here is a better look at Miek. Like Taika described previously is like a larva with a exoskeleton with knives... I guess when he and if he "hatches" at some point then he will become that big beast. "King" Miek or something of sorts.

And the Featurette for Thor Ragnarok should be also dropping soon. Maybe in 10 days or so.

The marketing campaign will soon ramp up it's activity. September will be a "smoldering" month and October will be a "raging" one in terms of marketing for Ragnarok.I feel like we're in the homestretch now, not far to go. I'll start a countdown thread once it gets past midnight here in the UK because it will officially be 50 days until the first international release date.
Also, what is Thor holding in those Hemsworth/Cumberbatch gifs? It looks like it could be a key? Interesting...

The first 2 trailers have totally sated my bloodlust. I can't say that that's ever happened before on a film.
