I'm still a little indifferent about the change to Thor in this

I'm going to find out whether or not I am in about 3 hours and 40 minutes (does it seem like I'm watching the clock?). I really like comic book Thor and hope I'll be okay with TR Thor. With comics, I don't have much problem with giving the director creative license. It's not like we're talking Middle Earth.....the stuff in the comics never really happened.

Hope you enjoy it!

It wouldn't have bothered me if it wasn't pretty different from his previous appearances. I sorta look past it though since I enjoyed the film so much!

I rather liked the Thor in the first movie. In fact, one of my favorite MCU scenes was when he was explaining science and magic to Jane.

I think I'm going to be fine with it. I'm a sucky critic.

I'm about to go see it for the 2nd time!
Right now, I can say that I loved the visuals, the action, and the humor. The characters all felt a little flat to me, I thought that the character development and interactions were rushed. Hopefully I'll like it better the second time around.

I thought Banner was a bit ehh most of his scenes. He was trapped for 2 years inside Hulk. I didn't feel like he was scared and bewildered enough. Loki was consistent with how he usually is.

Perhaps Thor could have been a bit more serious, he tends to be in the Avenger movies( He has no problem confronting Stark). He did leave at the end of AoU to figure out the gems which is a serious matter. But Thor has always like battle, he felt like Goku in this movie. A fun naïve hero, but knows when to get serious.

Will review this tonight or tomorrow after work, but short version: best Thor film, and 3rd or 4th best MCU film.

This might be where I'm at, now that you mention it. Although I really liked Valkyrie, Hulk and Korg. The other characters did seem to fall a little flat to me.

Great. Looking forward to read your review.

Grandmaster was a bit flat for me along with Banner as I mentioned above. I know he is an eccentric character, I still want to see him and Collector together in the future. In the comics they are related so maybe that will happen in the movies.

Those two fell flat for me too but yes, I hope so as well. I think Goldblum or Feige did say that they're brothers in the MCU as well

Yeah, I'd love to see Grandmaster meeting up with Collector at some point.

Enough said. :woot:

Just saw it and it was good. The girls were awesome Blanchett kills as Hela, and Thompson was great fun as Valkyrie. The guys didn’t leave as much of an impression but they were still good. I loved how scenes in the trailer are different, or set in different places than in the film.
