You and me both... But I have a feeling we will be left wanting.

Have you noticed Hela hasn't had her Headdress on either. I think we MIGHT see hers early on but not after her initial introduction

Taking me a while to get adjusted to some of the aesthetic color choices seen in these photos. Getting too much "Skittles: Taste The Rainbow" vibe.

BTW - on the surface that ravenous black hair of Hela's makes me wonder if there is any relation to Loki.

I definitely identify with Thanos more now, developing a bit of a death fetish from these pics. Not quite an omnicidal maniac yet, but give it time.

Yeah J, I'm VERY sure a lot of the color will be toned down in editing. I really hope Loki is Hela's father. It would make total sense if she had some hate for Loki if he abandoned her and wanted to destroy Asgard

I damn well hope they don't mute the colors. They almost always do that, and it looks bad imo. Makes the films look artificial. GotG Vol. 2 actually has full on vibrant colors and looks great imo.

I think one reason we're not seeing the headdress yet is because it's mostly CGI and these are all practical photos. When we get the teaser trailer I think we're more likely to see Hela in her full garb.

And also i think Hela is in Skaar.
And it wouldn't make sense for her to go around with that massive headpiece knocking people on their heads. And as it was previously said the hairdress is a CGI effect so of course she won't have it on photos from the set.

I think the colors are bright NOW because it will be dark in the film. The color would show up in darker lenses.

That could be too. I DO hope we see the full Glorious Hela in the trailer tho lol

Now that HDR/Dolby Vision and UHD exists they may be able to fully preserve the bright vibrant colors all the way through post production. Even more than GOTG did. I was reading an interview with the cinematographer on Daredevil and he was talking about how on his previous shows they always shoot things very vibrant and with fantastic contrast and deep pure blacks then they would have to later drain it and bring it down because televisions only supported 8 bit color space and the old tv's ****** contrast couldnt process the pure blacks. But 4k tvs, UHD and HDR/dolby vision (10 - 12 bit colors) and the new standards allows them to keep the colors and contrast the way it was meant to look. Films and tv shows are already starting to embrace the wider color space for films and television shows. So hopefully this film will really be able to pop in cinemas that have Dolby Vision and on UHD at home.

I cant wait to watch GOTG in UHD with HDR or Dolby Vision. Its gonna be beautiful.

Hmm, the cover looks horrible.

Valkarie is generic, which is fine, because that's probably who she is. Hela's costume looks great but the headdress is the best part. The hair and makeup look too much like enchantress and an appeal. Thor is alright.

The stills look much better. I do hope Thor gets his hair back by the end. Short hair just doesn't look like Thor to me at all. Still looks cool though. All the elders must have that bottom lip thing.

I think these 2 images are closely related.
My guess is that Thor come out of the gate behind him, entered the arena and he is looking at Loki in the VIP stand of the arena(wich was already shown in concept art).

And as i said Loki is just chilling in the VIP area of the arena having his drink on that massive stand overlooking the gladiatorial games.

Hela looks great, hopefully her helmet is only missing because it's CGI, like Loki's. And EXTRA hoping they don't go and mute the colors.

Meanwhile, have we seen anything of Urban as the Executioner. Because with Thor going hammerless, the wishful thinker within me wants to hold out hope that, as much as I love Executioner, what if that casting was a ruse and Urban is really Beta Ray Bill? .001% chance of happening, I know, but a man can dream!

Makes me wonder if Valkyrie's costume was supplied to her like Thor's was?
It would make sense if they're part of an Arena fight, the Grandmaster would supply all Combatants with armor to force them to fight with their own skills so to speak.

It took them five movies, but they finally seem to have got Thor's aesthetic right. The movie looks beautiful.

Ego is not going to get anyone in the general audience's butt into a seat, Kurt notwithstanding. The Hulk will Varth. They will pimp Hulk's presence in this movie big time.
