I was saying the CLASSIC THOR Costume does NOT translate and those two commercials plainly show that. Look them up on youtube, the Visa Checkcard version looks more like an S&M costume.

You can "disagree" all you like but the fact remains that if it fit the direction of the film then it WOULD BE in the film & guess what, it's not.

I never said they couldn't have made it work, I believe I said "yellow boots & blue pants wouldn't fit the direction of the film".

That's not an assumption, that's a fact because if those colors did fit the direction of the film then they would been in it.

Spiderman's eyes were white in the comics not "mettalic" & the webbing in his costume was black not mettalic silver...so this only proves my point.

But guess what? Those changes fit with the direction of the film just like Thor's costume

Those minute changes are what is called "adaption", which I acknowledge as necessary changes to make a design WORK on film.

It looks like the Spider-Man costume despite those changes and therefore it does not prove your point.

The Thor costume we have now is a pretty good adaption of the source material but saying the classic costume will never work is incorrect.

I find that these arguments are pointless as you only have one vision of what the suit will look like in live action; 'stupid', and therefore when I present my argument you only see me arguing for the suit to look 'stupid'. Open your mind, use your imagination, and consider my opinion.

    Insults? Really? (smh)

You had a valid point earlier so I clearified my statement, I NO LONGER FEEL THE CLASSIC COSTUME WOULD LOOK "SILLY" so stop saying that. I now say the classic costume can be properly translated but it WOULD NOT FIT THE DIRECTION OF "THIS" FILM.

I had to capitalize certain points because it seems like you aren't comprehending them. Once again...THE CLASSIC COSTUME COULD WORK IN A FILM, JUST NOT THIS FILM.

Well, as petty as it can get sometimes, it's still less petty than 99.9 % of the posts on AICN so I guess you're right. :)

So since there isn't anything thats actually controversial, everyone is fighting over boots? I just want to make sure I haven't gone insane and am actually reading what I'm reading.

Boots are very important! You know, for that scene where Thor leaves his boot print on loki's ass!

At least the suits aren't navy bright teal or blue... In ilahi's name, we can't confuse Thor with the Tron film that's bombing...

Actually we're not arguing over boots since I AGREE with the boot color, this is more of a discussion.

He's arguing while I am merely pointing out facts

Yes, I'm talking about aspects of Thor's costume in the 'Thor's costume' thread, what a zealot I am.

A joke's a joke for only so long before people start to think that you're challenged in some way.

Joke I don't... I'm simply saying by Hupti Innaritu Ali that they didn't have him show Blue Grey type of colors... they make him wear Blue Jeaned Trousers on Earth, but his proper Costome is that of Thor - technologically advanced He-man like diety/alien. Only Red, Silver and Greys Blacks... which is what it should be...

Why are you always worried that audiences will confuse films for other films because of the colour palette? I mean, with Tron Legacy you worried that the audience would think it was Avatar 2 because of the use of blue and now you worry that the audience will confuse Thor for Tron Legacy because of the blue. You've surely got to give the general audience more credit that that.

Anyways, just what is it with you and the colour blue?

Did the Smurfs do something bad to you when you were a kid?
