I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but since they're filming 4 and 5 back to back I think conners should have more screentime in four and then become the lizard in 5. I think you could have electro as the main villain in 4 and do something kind of like the spectacular spider-man cartoon where electros shock to the lizard dna is what cause conners to transform. You could probably fit a secondary villain in to both but I would honestly be satisfied if it was just electro for 4 and then only lizard for 5.

Nah... you can't put off Lizard any longer. He'll be the villain in SM4. I think we'll get a Mysterio or Vulture setup in SM5 possibly paired with an Electro.

The Lizard is essential for Spider-Man 4, and the secondary villain, as everyone insists, Kraven. But it may very well be Stilt-Man.

Yeah, he won't give a damn. Did The Joker give a damn when he blew up a hospital, no, because that's what villains do, they don't give a damn about what normal people care about? And you still got an intelligent and mature movie out of TDK.

To each his own what? I'm just stating that lazy writing can be applied to almost anything taking from the comics, depending on who reading or watching it. Both the 'Harry/Peter/Goblin' connection and the 'Brain Damage' motif comes from the comics, like it or not.

What, he mentioned his wife once and forgot about her, lol, oh the trauma? I dare not call that lazy writng. You and Sam Raimi have no clue what villains are. To actually see a movie with Doc Ock not being influenced or controlled by his tentacle, would be wonderful. I wonder how Batman fans would have felt if The Joker started helping old ladies across the street and saving people at the end of TDK.

No, lazy writing is having villains being good hearted and kind to begin with. Lazy writing is repeating the same events in each movie, as we have seen with MJ and the villains. Let's just keep continuing down this road of having goody-two-shoes villains pop up in every Spider-Man movie. Then we all can watch as the quailty continue to dwindle with each film.

My Vader comment was to let you know, that you bring back a villain even if he appears to be at death's door. Especially, if the director and producer says...he NOT dead.

Wait, you mean SM2 wasn't messed up for making Doc Ock a good guy and a poem ready cushy husband, who is controlled by his tentacles, which is the only way the filmmakers will allow him to do bad things. Welcome to Pussyville, I hope you enjoy your stay.
Here's a really crazy idea, how about we have Doc Ock not die if he returns. Do we really need to see every villain die, talk about lazy writing and cheap polar tricks?

Either way, you will never see them use Scorpion after they've used The Lizard.
enough. man...no.
just...no. this version of Ock simply doesn't work like that. and yeah, brain damage to become villain is lazy writting. let's give other villains the opportunity to be on screen. at least we have Spectacular Ock to do that for us. he is a villain with no stupid reasons such as brain damage.

PS: Joker is a psycho anarchist, for God sake. he's far from movie Ock. no comparison.

you just remind me of people who were saying The Spot for Spiderman 3 about 4 years ago....

SM-4: Vulture and Lizard
SM-5: Kraven and Carnage and maybe a third sense it'd be the final film, maybe Rhino, i dunno

Visionary, what are you talking about???

You are foolish in believing that portraying "Blood & Gore" in a film, somehow make that film more mature. These are statements that came from your mouth.... or in this case finger tips. :woot:

Look, I'm not knocking you for desiring mature & realistic themes. I am in agreement; and likewise, feel that Raimi is not the guy that can deliver. But, some of you ideas like the "Brain Damage" idea is just as much fluff, idioctic, and lazy writing as making Sandman Uncle Ben's killer or Eddie praying to "GOD" for Peter's death because he got outed for doctoring a picture. Your idea is just adding to the mess. Look, DocOck sacrifice himself because Raimi & Company could not come up with a plausible way how Spidey could defeat this "stand-up guy". The same can be said for Sandman... just simply letting him go because he "didn't ask for this".

You are being conflicted with you desires for the next series of films.

I'd like to see Sandman comeback even if it's only for a cameo. I kinda feel like we didn't get the cool hearted Sandman from the comics in SM3. Have spidey chasing him at the beginning of SM4.

Cameo would be nice, but Sandman's story is totally finished.
There's really no need for him to come back.

So good Doc Ock works for you, yeah, okay then. And I don't care what fancy name you have for The Joker, the fact is he's a damn villain, Doc Ock wasn't. Unless somehow reading poetry can kill a person.

Lizard is a must but I also want a villian who is Truely a villian . Not someone who's misunderstood, mentally ill, having a bad day Lol. Vulture is still kinda lame too me but if they made him in his 50's and truely a treat then it might work.

I think Electro is closer to what I'm talking about but his suit is so lame you'd have the audience rolling in the thearters. If he looked more like the ultimate version and was more like Sylar from heroes in terms of evil I think that would be cool.

What the hell are you rambling about?

Do you really think a movie like Terminator 2 is a blood and gore film, seriously now, it's no wonder why you all are so soft-hearted? Yeah, why don't you just call the mechanical webshooters fluff too and be done with it. Personally, I'd take the brain damage angle, that would take a minute to hint at, instead of having a candy ass goody-two-shoes Doc Ock being controlled by his tentacles, and not wanting to do naughty things, cute.

And I would never just blame Sam Raimi for the quality of these films, Marvel is more to blame for allowing it, Raimi doesn't own Spider-Man, Marvel does. In other words, it doesn't matter who's directing these films, if Marvel wants a children's movie, that's what they'll get, unfortunately.

Man, you are swinging back and forth wildly, worse than a pendulant.

Whatever you say..... vis. :whatever:

I've been wondering.............

Should the Lizard be depicted in his usual lab coat and pants?:)

Or should he be naked? And would a 6 foot lizard-man have...um...privates?.

I think the general audience might scoff at him walking on two feet and talking and wearing a lab coat and purple pants----what, does he and the Hulk shop at the same stretchy purple pants store?

Lizard and Kraven I think will be the main threats, but I feel like there will be a plethora of axillary villains

I hope not. After how overcrowded SM3 felt, I would prefer a smoother ride with fewer new characters in the new sequels.

I've always hoped that the Lizard would start out like the early Ditko drawings: basically a man with scales and a tail. As the movie progresses, have him become more and more animal, losing the ability to talk and think rationally.

I like that Lizard idea a lot. It would please everybody, seeing him evolve through his appearances.

I'm currently writing a script for 'Spider-Man 4'. It currently includes a whole variety of villain, the main-villain however, is Chameleon. Chameleon is the instigator of the story, the one who's responsible for future events. I always loved the character of Chameleon, but I always wanted to see them do some other original things with him. I'm personally aiming to make him a good, psychological villain. Other villains in the story so far are: The Lizard, Kraven, Shocker, Electro, and maybe others, but this is all structured to introduce the Sinister Six(Doctor Octopus-less).

^^ Funny you should say that, Chameleon is in my SM4 script as well... not necessarily for or in a Sinister Six. ^^

Yeah, I'm just using him to build-up/introduce villains or simply even their own alter-egos being used for smaller crimes. I like this idea of mine(and, I can include yours, I suppose:woot:), mainly because it builds-up Spider-Man's relationships with the villains themselves.
