20th Century Fox is bypassing the comic convention circuit (NYCC, WonderCon…etc) completely and going directly to nation with a three part reveal of X-Men Origins: Wolverine on Fox. The studio has created three sixty-second spots, one leading into the next, and which together form a narrative story. The first spot airs this Sunday (February 15) on “Family Guy, the second on Monday (Feb. 16) on "House," and the third on Tuesday (Feb. 17) on “American Idol.” Sounds like a smart way to promote the film, while getting fans to watch some shows on their television network. 3 Sixty-Second Spots – Together Forming a Narrative – to Air over 3 Days

Beginning Sunday, February 15, viewers across the nation can witness the origins of one of the year’s most anticipated movies, when Twentieth Century Fox debuts an exclusive, three-part exclusive reveal of X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE on FOX.

For this unprecedented promotional event – which is too big for one night – the studio has created three special sixty-second spots, one leading into the next, and which together form a narrative. The first spot airs this Sunday (February 15) on “Family Guy,” the second on Monday (Feb. 16) on “House,” and the third on Tuesday (Feb. 17) on “American Idol.”

X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, the first chapter in the X-Men saga, unites Wolverine with several other legends of the X-Men universe, in an epic revolution that pits the mutants against powerful forces determined to eliminate them.

Hugh Jackman, who reprises the role that made him a superstar, is joined by Liev Schreiber, Danny Huston, Dominic Monaghan, and Ryan Reynolds, as well as Taylor Kitsch, will.i.am, and Lynn Collins. Gavin Hood directs from a screenplay by David Benioff and Skip Woods (writing credit not yet final). The producers are Lauren Shuler Donner, Ralph Winter, Hugh Jackman, and John Palermo.

X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE opens in theaters May 1, 2009.

that's the gamble you take when you agree to watch TV spots and Trailers.

*X3's trailers, TV spots and 7 minutes on TV did not spoil the movie's biggest shocker which was Xavier's war with Phoenix and ultimate death due to that war.

i never saw it coming and it made the movie for me.

they ruined the Wolverine forest scene for me.

it woulda been cool seeing that in theatres for the first time and not on my 17" monitor.

That was THE most awesomest scene out of that damn movie!!! It would of been better if you hear their psychic conversation on top of music, but just watching her deatomise him still gives me chills.

omg, i know! i thought it was a few bits from the movie, pretty much unedited and stuff, but no it turned out that was seven minutes right out of the movie!

the only difference with the preview and the movie cut (what i can remember) was Callisto's powers. in the preview she had a like train behind her to show how fast she was going, and i remember thinking that it looked effin hieous/ridiculous!
