ThunderBolts #110

Have you heard bout Ultimate DC? They didn't even give it a new name! And I refuse to call Deadshot b level villian!

The covers for Thunderbolts look awesome. I had never seen Jack Flag before, until I saw the cover to Thunderbolts 114, he looks awesome.

Jeez all of a sudden in the past 2 years, Captain America went from no protiges to haveing:

Patriot
Jack Flag
Winter Soldier

The Thunderbolts segment was the best part of the "Choosing Sides" mini, i just hope they live up to the hype. Marvel shouldn't hold it's head down because they ripped off DC (Suicide Squad). Taking b-list villians and giving them purpose makes for great reading.

Norman Osborn aka The Green frikkin Goblin B-List?!:woot:

They want him to look dangerous. When I see a radioactive suit i get kinda worried.

When I see someone in comics wearing those suits and trying to look tough, I just wanna roll my eyes right out of my head.

Speaking of Cap, can someone explain to me who Union Jack is?

The only thing I don't get about the cover to #110 is it looks like Deo has forgotten he is drawing Mac Gargan as Venom and not Eddie Brock.

I really want to get this, mostly because Ellis has now become one of my favorite writers.

The team of bad guys/trouble makers being forced to be heroes has been done before (Suicide Squad, Freedom Force, Secret Six, hell the Dirty Dozen), so much so that it might be even be considered a sub-genre. But so what? The idea of people around the world suddenly waking up to find they have strange powers has been done before and that hasn't stopped Heroes from being my new favorite show.

Who could resist a team that features Green Goblin plus Venom (Mac Gargan) working together? Not me.

Re^ all I know about this team is that they are put together in CW, and then are left in place to deal w/ the fallout. I would like to know more about it tho..

So I will be adding ThunderBolts to my pull list come january.

Ok, this is the old thread.

You know what scares me? The fact that the last time Ellis took over titles I liked, he killed them. I loved the X-Books, and when he took over X-Man, Generation X, and X-Force, they became unrecognizable. Generation X was decent, but the other two completely changed. They were good, but they weren't the same characters anymore. I'm not all that worried about Songbird, Thunderbird, or Radioactive Man, as I wasn't much into Thunderbolts, but I'm worried for the rest. I'm just hoping that he does well here. He doesn't have a good track record for continuity books from what I hear.

I'll be checking this out for sure, it looks like it could be good.

A) I don't have a full run, so I have had to settle with a large portion of the run being downloaded until I get the chance to rack up the backissues.
B) You're in the USA, so that'd prove a little tough.

What it comes down to: Download the run. It's not kosher, but there is no alternative till you can find the issues yourself.

Ill fly to the Netherlands and we can hang out.

I was at Wizard world this year, I saw a few Suicide issues and I wasn't looking for em. Maybe thats what you gotta do.

I rather kill Ostrander and steal his copies.

But going to a con to look for comics issues while all the time making yourself think that you're not looking for them so you can actually find what you're not looking for but in truth were looking for is so much fun!!!!

That'd be awesome.

And you must not kill Ostrander. The man is God. If you happen to stumble upon his Spectre run, pick that up too.
