I haven't seen this movie in years and finally saw it again the other day on TV. It's not the greatest animated movie, but I really like it then...and I still have a fondness for it now. It's a nice change of pace with the MILLION talkin animal animated movies hollywood puts out. I wish they made more animated movies like this in hollywood...too bad movies like this don't do well.

After seeing this movie years ago, I always wished Fox would do a Silver Surfer animated movie like this.... Oh well

Big flop at the box office apparently.....haven't seen it msyelf as of this date, saturday september 9th, the year of our Lord 2006.

Ben Edlund, creator of the TICK...and Josh Whedon (Serenity)....both wrote this I hear.

If I find it on DVD, I'll pick it up. I never got around to seeing this.

I enjoyed this flick, and had a really great scene in a cluster of ice comets, really good stuff.

Haven't seen it in a while, but I thought it was alright.

I liked it, the first time a watched it.
I have the DVD, but i have yet to see it again.

I really didn't like it much. The premise was interesting, the animation was good, but the script was quite poorly written, I thought. I'd barely say it was anything more than mediocre.

I didn't think it was all that either. I thought it was pretty average though the animation wasn't all that bad.

Pretty good movie. Not brilliant, but good.

I really like this flick actually :). Great visuals and a solid story.
It was ahead for it's time , but then again i don't think there will be a succesful mature animated movie for americans audiences for a couple a years.

Also , didn't ILM animate that scene in the Ice field ?

Wasn't this the last 2-D animated film from Fox?

i remember really liking this movie, although i haven't seen it in years.

i'll have to pick it up the next time i see it for sale.

It was and American try at Anime. Quite good if you ask me. I think a Live action version would be wicked!

Disney tried to do that too...with that movie... Treasure Planet? I never saw that one though. Anybody see it? Was it good?

It did close down FOX's animation wing after being a bomb at the US BO.
It's cost 75 million to make but the domestic gross was just 22 million.
They later took over Blue Sky Studios and success with ICe Age 1 & 2 and ROBOTS

I liked it.. nothing too special but a good film and some cool animation. Don Bluth rules!

I don't know about being their hand at anime, but they're obviously attempts at space odessy. I preferred Treasure Planet to Titan AE, myself.

I liked this movie.
It wasn't the best movie, but it wasn't bad at all.

The best part of the movie is that amazing song by Electrasy called "Cosmic Castaway".

*Listens to the song right now*

I saw it on DVD a few years back - on a whim. Ended up liking it a lot.

Decent story. Likeable characters.

The quality of the animation was spotty. Some scenes were really well done. Others looked rushed.

But I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it was.
