[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Yes, it's true. More casting luck for yours truly. Perfect Jigsaw, Marvelous Micro, Wicked Maginty!

Woah* Nice casting. :)
I wonder how the story will handle with so many characters...

All this great casting has me pumped to see a trailer for this film. So far I love what I'm hearing just need to see a trailer to see actual look and tone of the film.

I love the picture of Jigsaw driving a car with a pink interior. That's how you know he's a really macho character.

Awesome cast though... couldn't be more pleased.

Wasn't TJ a fan favorite for the Blade TV series before it went to Sticky?

Wasn't Blade a fan favorite before it became a terrible TV series?

Anyone else notice there's no female lead cast yet? It appears the only piece of eye candy in this movie is behind the camera.

...WTF is Maginty doing in this movie? And why do they need a martial arts expert to play him? Something tells me that this is going to be a major departure from the character and I don't like that. Especially if they want a fight then they could just use Barracuda. Maginty is more likely to just mow you down with a semi-automatic than spinkick you.

Still, good casting IF the character remains intact. I liked the whole irish black guy crime lord thing he had going.

YEAH!

twas only the other day that i found out that Lexi Alexander is such a hottie!!! I used to think she's this dyke-looking lady in her mid 50's

lol

lexi alexander is the hottest woman director alive,

she just picked an awesome cast,

cant wait for this.

she obviously sees something in this character, so we hopefully will get the Punisher film that finally delivers the best version.

He did have a machete as his trademark, that's probably what they're going after. You probably don't NEED to have a martial arts expert playing him, but why not? Storm carries the right vibe (though obviously he looks like an actor and not a battle-scarred gangster.)

thats where the make up department comes in.

That Hutchinson guy looks like a slightly more filled out version of John Simm. If he's HALF the actor Simm is, then LBJ could be a fantastic character . . .

Come to think of it, there you go. I don't usually go for the "dream casting" ideas, but now that I think about it, John Simm would be a perfect Loony Bin Jim. Smaller, wiry, but when he turns on the menace, he's the most intimidating little skinny geezer you ever saw.

And he can act his arse off.

Just linked TJ Storm to this thread guys. So hopefully he'll be reading our words, suggestions for the character, etc...

Awesome. I swear, man, your connections are endless.

Ha ha ha! You expecting a love interest or something? Maybe this will be the first all male cast since The Thing.

awesome! the cast is filling out nicely. i think those pictures from lexi's site are spot-on. i'm glad she went with several less known actors, that way instead of "aw ***** it's john travolta" it'll be "oh ***** it's jigsaw! and loony bin jim! and maginty!" so yeah, like i said... awesome.

It's not too often when Hollywood goes after actors that fit the comic book character, usually they miscast and go for big name actors. Wow, filming starts in a couple of weeks! I know I'm pumped for War Zone! Where's all the nay sayers that said this movie would never happen? :unishr:

I like how this is turning into a very diverse cast and this movie is going to have some color in it. Something that Punisher 04 was lacking (in my opinion) was the "comic book" factor to the villains. Sure, real life mob assassins probably dont have their entire faces scarred up but it IS a comic book after all, and it seems like the director is really trying to make this different if nothing else. I'm very excited.

This has got to be the first time I have seen so many actors who actually look like the characters they are playing. Batman Begins came fairly close but but almost all those guys looked like they could have been pulled right out of the comic. Newman as Micro is a very good choice, kinda pissed I didnt think of it myself.

Also lack of a lot of action, and lack of hand to hand fighting.
