TMNT movie action figures: Release Date? Could be December?

I have heard that Playmates toys will be releasing a wave of Ninja Turtles movie figures in December. NOW that would be awesome!!!

Can anyone confirm or deny?

The placeholder shipping date for the first wave is December 27th, but that's very likely to change - if at all possible, Playmates will try to get them released before Christmas.

And it would make total sense to get those bad boys (and gals ) out BEFORE Christmas for sure!

Ok...so I spoke to a Playmates representative today and said that the figures for the film wouldn't be out until next Spring 2007.

It kinda sucks cause it says that in the Fall of 2007 look for even MORE figures...which means that we have to wait quite awhile between waves.

Also is the figures are 6 inches....which is awesome! I HATE smaller figures..can someone tell me if the Cartoon figures released in the last few years are 6 inches? I thought they were under 6...?

Going by this article, it looks like the initial shipping date won't be before the December 27th placeholder...look for them in early January.

Edit: Sorry, didn't see the second part of your post. The 2K3 line was base 5". The new line is a fair bit larger. The toys range from 5"-7", with the Jersey Devil as the possible exception (it's rather petite).
