Some serious **** is going down in KANSAS!!

will Smallville survive??!!

I wonder if that kid is part of the scene.
Sitting there smoking some meth when an airplane wing crashes into his mom's van.

I want to know how with all the carnage that was apparently brought upon this little town, not a single video clip has surfaced.

I think it's because the streets are closed off. Someone on Facebook got video of the helicopters and smoke, but as you can see it is at a distance:

Were there any extras? I hope it's not an intimate affair like Thor, it cheapened the scale of the movie. The recent shoot in Avengers has really upped the fare I think.

I didn't see any extras in todays pics except for military guys. There have been extras used for the 7-11 scenes and the tornado scenes.

Many If not most movie's are not shot in this manor as far as everything at once.

In this case though, I would imagine that a broadcast went out for all citizens to evacuate the town of Smallville. My guess is we will be seeing much bigger things, such as people running for their lives, etc , once they start shooting the big city scenes come Oct.

well, seeing as how this action sequence seems to take place in Smallville ( judging by the Kansas logos in those pics ), the town where Superman grew up in, I'm guessing ( and hoping ) that this battle will be much more personal than the one in Thor.

that being said, I want action to take place on a grand scale, too, including Metropolis.

but I'm thrilled that Smallville ( and Kansas ) seems to be getting so much attention in MOS.......lol.

So this is the final battle then? The climax?

We don't know.

Exactly! But what we can be garanteed is that there will be many many more fight scenes and action then what we seen in Thor, or any Superhero movie in the last decade.

I base this on everything WB and DC have stated about what went wrong with SR, and this was action, action, villians, fights, and more action!

There is a reason Snyder was chosen to direct this puppy,WB and DC know this is there last shot at Superman if they get this wrong, so expect some sick azz s**t come June 2013!!!

I think the fight probably starts in Smallville. Maybe Zod and the others track Kal-El's ship, or maybe they know he's Clark and that he grew up on Smallville.

Has Snyder ever done this much location shooting before? He usually works with green screen right?

This is pretty new to him. He discussed this at length in a (relatively) recent interview.

I could see this being the final battle for some reason.

You never know, it might get bigger. The villains and Superman have a lot of freedom to move around of course. What we've seen could be relatively mild.

Final battle taking place in a farm country would certainly be a change, less likely mass amounts of people will be in danger.

It could be part of the final battle, but I don't think it would be the complete battle at the end.

brings thoughts of THOR's battle in the little country town... it isn't epic as much as i want. but you know too early to assume this is the final battle...

Don't you think Snyder would have crazy ideas about the amount and scale of action in a Superman movie, judging by stuff like 300 and Sucker Punch?

Regardless of his imagination, he is still limited by not shooting in front of green screen as he's used to.

I posted this in the previous thread but remember:

But they needed an aircraft carrier, they needed jets — which we have — but they needed big cargo planes that we don’t have. They also wanted attack helicopters which we don’t have. The U.S. military was willing to accommodate whatever they wanted and we couldn’t do that.”

You really think a movie about someone killing Supermans kid and him going mentally angry would have been the way to move forward with the franchise?

Come on now...

Just kill the kid off towards the end (haha)... I'm not saying it should have been the driving force of the movie :-)
