 Please don't let it be true.

I'm pretty positive Burton at least approved the decision, if not picked him personally.

well Schumacher before his bat films did do lost boys, the client, flat liners, and a time to kill before B&R so on the surface it seemed like a solid director

Schumacher also originally wanted to adapt Year One, but WB wanted a sequel.

so... this pics are already posted?

Which studio are they shooting MOS at in Vancouver?

ugh.... june is too far away.

heh.......June 2013 is too far away...........:csad:

besides, we may not even make it till then.......y'know.....with the world coming to an end next December.........:o :oldrazz:

well they can atleast put together some kind of teaser, give us 10 seconds of actual footage and then a bunch of text saying the Man of Steel returns to the big screen or something like that......thats not asking for to much :funny:

It will be tough to plan marketing for this movie, how do you plan the dates for teasers, trailers 18 months in advance ?

First time that I've seen a set photo of the Smallville battle from this angle:

The cape definitely doesn't look like the standard/ordinary shaped cape that I'm used to seeing for Superman (or most caped heroes that aren't Batman) since I'm used to seeing more of just a cape that goes straight down instead of being large as well in width.

It's so huge and red. I like it. :)

I like the fact that the cape is so encompassing.

Reminds me of this Ross drawing:

The cape will only be that huge when it needs to be.

Unless some photos surface soon that deals with some heavy duty carnage and destruction from a potential fight that Superman has with one of his villains in the films, I'd assume then that the major fight happens in a area where the filmmakers can realistically create in a sound stage and without the usage of filming on location.

That cape is beautiful. Best cape I've seen for a hero flick yet.

EDIT- Since Snyder is still sticking to his original production schedule (ready for release Dec 2012) we better get a new, longer teaser. I will settle for nothing less than 90 seconds.

And I just hope that the duration of the trailer isn't sucked up with captions or CGI background with only a glimpse here and there of new footage like the first trailer for TDKR or even like the teaser for S:TM.

Has the crew and cast returned from the winter hiatus? Or does their holiday break last until New Year's?

I really want some new photos...

I'm almost positive it's after new years....I was thinking the same as well, cause it wouldn't make sense for them to come back for a week and leave again for a day unfortunately

as posted in the All Things Superman thread:

http://www.movienewz.com/superman-man-of-steel/

don't know how reliable it is........but the June 2012 timeline does make sense, given what they did with TDKR's 1st teaser ( with Harry Potter last summer ).

Many were expecting a July 2012 date to coincide with the bow of TDKR, but I guess WB doesn't want the TDKR to eclipse the hype for TMOS! Still, I wonder if toxic buzz for the execrable-looking Jack the Giant Killer (WB's big June release) might change that?...
