We got ours a month ago and just love the car. It's got amazing power for a V6 and almost 30 miles a gallon.

Also, since you put in some things like Ford Taurus and Fusion, I'd recommend looking at the Saturn Aura XR. I know it's a Saturn, but I actually looked at one when a friend gotone as a rental car and ended up buying a used one. I really enjoy it and has prety good speed at the 3.6L version and plenty of features for it's price. Look at it in black and it looks good too. If you're looking for more of a sportier car then it probably won't do the trick, but I would take it over a new taurus and even the Fusion. It's more of a sensible car with style than sporty though.

OMG, now that Saturn has been dropped, I just looked at prices of used 07 and 08 Aura XR fully loaded, and OMG. They're averaging at $16k.

The cheapskate inside me may have to switch gears here. I mean, it's a nice looking car, good V6 power and handling, good features and interior design:

The appeal of the new Camaro is starting to wear off on me, honestly.

After some thought, I would definitely prefer a sedan over a coupe, and I'm even more reluctant now that there have been a bunch of break-ins in the damn neighborhood lately. A flashy new $30k Camaro or Mustang on the block may not last too long I may fear...

I'm looking around for maroon red G8 GT's right now. Most G8's out on the road are either bright red, black, gray, or white. I also wouldn't count out a fully loaded 08 Altima 3.5SE or a Fusion Sport. I would think that by the end of this year, loaded used Fusion Sports should be all over the place for around $22k. With Fusion Sports, I'd imagine thieves would be more tempted to take just the 18" wheels over the entire car itself...
