To All You Non-Believers

I know most of you are skeptical about the addition of multiple characters and villains because you feel it will lessen their characters and not give each character their proper screentime and justice...but i dont see any reason for us to be

1) Raimi doesn't HAVE to give every single character a great amount of screentime and give every one complete justice...he just has to tell a good story that will captivate and entertain the audience.

2) This movie isn't titled "Gwen Stacy" "Captain Stacy" "GG" "Sandman" or "Venom"...its "Spider-man" He's the only character that really needs justice, the other characters just add to HIS story.

Im 100% confident Sam will come through, give each character justice (even though he doesnt HAVE to) and make an amazing 3rd movie


Now im sure most of you will want this closed and thats fine, i just wanted to help people open up to this idea a bit more and trust that Raimi will make an incredible movie

Here's the problem with all that. You see, movies are a whole. When something doesn't work, it hurts the movie. You can't say getting Spider-Man right is the only thing that makes or breaks the movie. That just makes one aspect right. Movies have many aspects. If you mess up the Stacy family, it hurts the film. If you mess up Venom, it hurts the film. If you mess up anything, it hurts the film. Spider-Man isn't the only character in the film.

I agree with you 100% Spider-fan. Movies are a whole and contain many aspects, which is in fact why i think these movies are so good (because of all the intertwining relationships and characters) In my post my intention wasn't at all to make it sound like Parker was the only important character and that all the other ones didnt' matter, you definitely need to use each character intelligently and properly, i was just trying to say that each character doesn't need an entire background story and be given equal screentime. You can still get characters right and only give them limited screen time, but i do agree with you.

this is turning out to be the batman & robin of spider-man films. sony forced venom into this just like WB forced B&R to be kiddey-ish. i dont know about you but putting 4 villians along with backround, love triangle, and character development seems like this movie is gonna burn. 2 villians was fine. 3 was out of the way. 4 is a let down. this is going to be a 2 hour movie full of nothing but action and no story (or good one at that) and if your saying to youself "well they know what theya re doing im sure they will find a way to fit it all in" stop lying to yourself because at the bottom of your heart when you put 4 villians into a 2 hour movie.. I dont know how bad this is going to be. but i know one thing for sure, its not going to be as good as the other 2. this movie in my opinion will probobly get a 6/10 if they are LUCKY''

Yeah... And SM1 or SM2 would of been GRRRREAAATTT (Tony ) IF we had gotten a completely non developed Norman or Otto. As it was, we got basically "Lite" versions of them as it was... AND THAT WAS WITH ONE FRICKIN VILLAIN.

Alot of characters didnt make B&R suck..A s***y script and the chessy bad acting ruined the movie..The X-men movies(especially the first 2) and Batman Begins prove that alot of characters DON'T ruin the movie if the writting is good enough.Of course theres going to be consequences like good characters not getting more screen time (like the Scarecrow for example) But thats what sequals are for.

Yeah four villains is too many, but if what aa said is true, im sure that all four villains arent going to be main villians.

GG - Already set up in 2
Sandman - Main villain
Brock/Venom - Villain for Peter Parker
4th Villain - Cameo or cliffhanger most likely

And yes i do have faith in Raimi, he's made 2 great movies, and even though he does appear to be overloading this one i doubt he wouldnt be putting all these people in if he knew he was flushin all his f'n work down the toilet and throwing everything away

Venom does NOT equal non MAJOR VILLAIN (especially WHEN you throw in the symbiote and Brock's story)

Lizard... does not equal non major villain, especially when you throw in his story and the relationship of Peter to the Connors Clan.

You have Gwen and Capt Stacy. You have the Bugle. You have JJ. You have Harry's story to COMPLETE!!! You have Aunt May time. AND OF COURSE... you'll have Peter+MJ time (they did just get together and MJ found out Peter's secret

AND ON TOP OF THIS... you want to have 4 Villains!?!?!?!?!?!?

Sheesssh.

And Sam & Co made good movies in SM1 and SM2... but REFRESH my memory... HOW MANY VILLAINS WERE IN EACH MOVIE????

In actuallity, aside from this "fourth villain" there's only 1 more villain in this movie than there was in 2. think about it...

Harry - instead of fighting with Peter out of costume, he'll be fighting him IN a costume ( so there's not really an additional character there, just in a dif form)

Sandman - Equivalent GG/Octavius

Brock/Venom - The additional character
