Do you think there's still a possibility that you could one day be rich, or do you think it'll never happen but are okay with it?

It'll never happen. I will not be okay with it. :csad:

It could happen. It's ok if it doesn't though.

Ill probably never be rich but I dont care, I already have more money than I need right now.

There's always that possibility, but just because it's possible doesn't mean it's going to happen.

The only way you can become rich is if you decide to become an entreprenuer or someone leaves you some money. You can work your way up the ladder, but by the time you get there you'll be too damn old to enjoy the rich life.

^Yeah, it'll be like "I finally got rich...now what?".

I never thought about it. But then in ’04, after living middle-class (to lower middle-class once I was out on my own) my whole life, I won the state lottery. Now, I have money but I’ve decided to continue living a lot like I did before winning. It’s just that now if I want something, I can get it without worrying. But I still work and everything. My wife however doesn’t feel like going back to work. Hmph.

I think having too much money would honestly make me lazy. I still prefer to want for some things.

If you aren't happy before a large sum of money, you won't be happy afterwards or it would be fleeting.

like people have said before "rather be miserable and rich than poor and happy"

however, im fine living a comfortable life, no need for extravagance.

Watch those "behind the scenes" with people who win the lottery and then squander it all, become bankrupt, even more miserable.

I think there was one story of 1 couple who were actually smart about investing.

Only thing I would do is pay off all the debt I have. If I didn't have bills to pay I'd be living fine. Don't need that much extra.

I think most people's problems are they aren't aware that a $2 million dollar home still has like maybe anywhere between $30,000 to $40,000 a year in taxes. So they buy all these things not thinking, that far ahead.

Being "rich" is somewhat a relative concept.

Just let me make 175K a year and I'll be smitten.

Or you win the lottery.

Or you find oil under your house.

Or you dig up some burried treasure.

:ninja:

Or you plan an ingenious bank robbery and retire to a country with lax extradition laws.

I'm gonna be rich.

(I know it to be true.)

People have different ideas of the word 'rich'.

Rich to me isn't about being able to buy everything, but being comfortable. This is actually happening to me now -- not over-the-top rich, but just enough so I can work from home, get married, and allow my missus to quit her sh;tty job.

True words!

It will never happen, I have all the luck in the world except if it has anything to do with money...

I always expected to be. :o I do think I will be, one day. Ironically though, I'm not very materialistic. I just want to be able to do the things that I would enjoy, like travel a bit.
