For example, a visit to STAR LABS could reveal "It seems you have the same cellular aging as humans, however the sun continues to recharge your powers regardless of what state of cellular aging you are in."

I'm sure someone could write better scientific babbling, but should this be explained as different from other Superman incarnations where his aging is revealed as nearly stagnant compared to humans?

I thought he always aged the same as humans. That's why he didn't stay 10 y/o for 40 years. It's just when he's 75,he'll still be built like a 30 y/o (albeit probably with some grey hair.) because of the sun's effect on him.

He is not immortal but he ages way slower than humans, some even say they are immortal under a yellow sun. Krytonians probably extended their lifespans a lot, and under a yellow sun this lifespan should be greatly extended, probably in the measure of millenia, but its hard to tell there aren't many comics of future superman, but in the legion of superheroes hes absent whether he is dead or retired in the 30th century. I think theoretically he can be virtually inmortal

I wouldn't mind. I've never cared for an immortal Superman. The DCAU did it right, IMO.

I have to agree, because this way if it is established and the JL films/Superman standalones work well and people want to keep seeing Cavill...10 years from now people won't say "Superman shouldn't look 40." as Cavill will be in his early 40's by then. Establishing that he ages normal would be fine with me.

You are on what they call a message board. Crazy enough --we discuss opinions, ideas, possibilities, with those who have similar interests. Wild huh

I think it would be a good idea to have him age a little slower than humans. Like in kingdom come clark looks like he's in his fifties while bruce looks like he's in his sixties.

I didn't like how in The dark knight returns bruce is in his fifties while clark looks like he's always thirty years old.

Going with Batman Beyond, when Bruce is more than 80 years old, Clark looks half his age, a little white on the sides and a few wrinkles but still built like a tank and i would say far stronger than his younger self.

I think he would get even stronger and more powerful in time, his skin cells could wrinkle a bit, but his physiology would be even stronger after years of exposure to radiation and atmosphere. The kryptonians in the movie virtually didn't age, there you have the most solid proof i think that they will age far far slower than humans and possibly stronger under the appropriate conditions

They are not going to get that many films out of Cavill. They will get him for three Justice League movies and another Man of Steel sequel. Beyond that it starts to get a bit iffy.

Most actors don't want to stay locked on one role forever. Eventually he going to want to movie on to other roles. I don't know how many films they will get out of him before he decides to do this but as I said will see three Justice League films and if where damn lucky will get two more Man of Steel.

So the whole aging thing is a non issue really. They won't even address it. Also Superman aging is dependent on which version of Superman you're talking about. Superman has gone through so many reboots that has changed over the years. However as it stands right now I think as he gets older his aging slows down. He will eventually die but not for a very very very long time.

For the films, if they decide to give him an ending, sure. Otherwise there's no point bringing it up, it'll only make less sense if/when he is recast.

You didnt phrase it like that. Your first post is directly asking if we know if that is the case. :oldrazz:

So to answer your question, i dont like to see him or any other character age. There's so much more to be done before we reach their Kingdom Come ages. Like, how about a Batman and Robin movie about Dick's origin? A good one this time.
