Tokyo Game Show 2010 Thread

thought Id start a thread for it as it will begin soon. It will start this week on the 16th and run till the 19th. Any predictions? I think and hope Sony officially announces the PSP2. Its about time and with this being the last major game show of the year, it would make sense to do it now. I also hope Square-Enix announce a tentative release date for FF VS XIII. Maybe late 2011 for Japan?

Last Guardian might have some stuff revealed. I think a Ico/Shadow of the Colossus collection will be announced (even though Walmart has/had it for preorder online).

This was posted in the LG thread. I think its pretty much a given to be officially announced

Not surprised. I still expect an official "Yeah, you already know but here it is anyway" announcement. Glad I sold Ico and got rid of SOTC before their values plummeted.

Ninja Theory is rumored to reveal Heavenly Sword 2 for the PS3. The main developer tweeted today celebrating the 3 year anniversary of HS. Others have suggested they might be helming Devil May Cry 5.

Id like to see another HS as I liked the first game. It didnt get narly the recognition that it should have. A big part of that was that it came out within the first year of the PS3 when the install base was rather low so many missed out on it. I was hoping Sony would give the game to the GoW team bc I think its a decent IP that shouldnt just die off. If Ninja Theory are doing a sequel, I hope they improve upon its flaws, the main one being its very short length

My official prediction: I predict there will be many weird Japanese-ass Japanese games on display.

I don't know if Ninja Theory will announce anything yet, they still have to finish their current game.

I believe they will reveal 4 at the show. I REALLY hope Jean and/or Ms. Marvel get announced for Marvel's side and Rad Spencer as one of the Capcom reveals

In a post on the Capcom Europe Blog, a company representative writes "So thats 3 of the 4 i guessed at, not bad but certainly no mystic meg but who knows what tomorrow will bring?!"

that will most likely not happen till FF VS XIII gets released and up till now, it hasnt even been close. With any luck they'll at least give it a tentative release schedule
